And the beautiful interplay with the choreography, animations and lighting created so many awesome moments. You had performers disappearing in a blast or teleporting around the stage, bold animations punctuating the rapping, powerful vfx style visuals complementing epic moments and dancers controlling freakin' knives. There was clearly so much preparation and coordination, everyone from every department would have had to work closely with each other to carefully choreograph all the dancers, performers and players with the lighting, camerawork and animation so that the right lights would go off and come on with all the people in the right places so that everyone would be lit up at the right times in conjunction with the animation. I'm so proud of been part of this game and this community, yes some times it's so toxic and stupid but together we were able to build this amazing show every year.
Came here after 2020 finals. 2018 opening > 2019 opening > 2020 opening. I understand a ceremony during a pandemic has a lower budget and more limitations, but the fans disrespecting the Korean team killed the finals atmosphere for me. Both EUrope and Korea were so much better at respecting the foreign teams on stage.
I wonder what it feels like being a pro player. standing in the stage, with lit musics while being surrounded with many fans. they're probably having chills right there.
Every year I look back on this and I really do believe there's no way riot can ever top this. The production level, the amount of talented artists they had performing from a variety of genre's, the animation, lightning, the hype, it was all unmatched. Not to mention this year was on par with 2017 for the level of the songs. Rise, Legends never die, Phoenix & Giants are by far the best songs ever made by this company. I do hope that in the future they could top something as good as this, but I highly doubt it. Especially with the performances and production somehow declining each year. And so I'll come back every year to remember how truly special this ceremony was.
Maybe this year. RIOT KR has a good production team plus the experience of kpop concerts. The previous worlds in korea were all in open stadiums this time it will be held in a closed arena, let's see what they do.
Idk why, but while watching this, i was about to burst into tears so many times....its so majestic that i wanted to cry and its just about video games...that makes it more wierdly awesome i guess..haha...then when the players walked into the stage, i wanted to cry even more, to see giants walking on big stage and bcoz it was my dream since 15 years ago to become like them....but it was not my destiny...now i can only cheer for them
Same, all the visual effects impressed me so hard I actually burst into tears, the people who did them, should be proud of that because that is genuinely beautiful. A couple of years ago when I was studying, I specialized in event tech, and I thought all the stuff which you could do with even the most basic led-lights and moving heads was cool, yeah it was cool, but this is on a whole another level of cool.

Exactly
Have they done the same with heartsteel it would've hit harder
@@Tny6000 I wonder if the leaks forced them to release early if they had already planned to release early... either way, it's unfortunate. True Damage really hit so well for the surprise.

not only in the "gamers scene" this is pure gold i never seen that, never ever
I'm so proud of been part of this game and this community, yes some times it's so toxic and stupid but together we were able to build this amazing show every year.
Yeah Gamers help to build this and look at how it became now 🔥
Toxic af, but in the end we are one HUGE family that share passion for gaming ;)
Omg I almost shed tears :'(
So inspirational to be a deducted Gamer
dude they doing playback, lip sinc. not that huge of a deal, not really live performance.
Sad Fact i Think we will not see a Opening like This this Year

Who's here after Ceremony Worlds 2020? Xddd
XD
Crowd and the players were dead this year.
Paris' crowds are far more enthusiastic compared to 2020 Chinese
A true masterpiece. Love how riot makes these ceremonies. They deserve every rp I have bought. Respect!
What do you expect from china lol. Its very common for them to disrespect foreign teams.
2019>2018>......>2020.
2019 > 2018 imo, rise was kinda meh, in 2019 everything was good. Yes I agree, future worlds events shouldn't be hosted in China.
2019 ~ 2018 >>> 2020
idk , 2020 just remind me earl3 version of Barbie movie brrrrr..
Both teams r being serious while Caps just go "huh, this place is interesting"

I wonder what it feels like being a pro player. standing in the stage, with lit musics while being surrounded with many fans. they're probably having chills right there.

y u so real?
Every year I look back on this and I really do believe there's no way riot can ever top this. The production level, the amount of talented artists they had performing from a variety of genre's, the animation, lightning, the hype, it was all unmatched. Not to mention this year was on par with 2017 for the level of the songs. Rise, Legends never die, Phoenix & Giants are by far the best songs ever made by this company.
I do hope that in the future they could top something as good as this, but I highly doubt it. Especially with the performances and production somehow declining each year. And so I'll come back every year to remember how truly special this ceremony was.
maybe this year!!
Maybe this year. RIOT KR has a good production team plus the experience of kpop concerts. The previous worlds in korea were all in open stadiums this time it will be held in a closed arena, let's see what they do.
heartsteel ruined it@@peri5111

Idk why, but while watching this, i was about to burst into tears so many times....its so majestic that i wanted to cry and its just about video games...that makes it more wierdly awesome i guess..haha...then when the players walked into the stage, i wanted to cry even more, to see giants walking on big stage and bcoz it was my dream since 15 years ago to become like them....but it was not my destiny...now i can only cheer for them
Same, all the visual effects impressed me so hard I actually burst into tears, the people who did them, should be proud of that because that is genuinely beautiful. A couple of years ago when I was studying, I specialized in event tech, and I thought all the stuff which you could do with even the most basic led-lights and moving heads was cool, yeah it was cool, but this is on a whole another level of cool.
same
Thanks to riot, to give us this gift. Im so proud to be a league player
