New Left Back Incoming. Cucurella or Tierney? NUFC Latest

Do Newcastle United have a new left back coming in? The club have been linked with Cucurella from Chelsea and Tierney from Arsenal, both as a potential loan option. Will Eddie Howe bring in a new backup to dan burn ahead of the transfer window closing at the end of the month?

Would you be happy with either Cucurella or Tierney?

Given that Dan Ashworth was involved with the deal that saw Marc Cucurella join Brighton from Getafe and that Cucurella played as LB, LWB and CB for Potter during his time at the club. I think Cucurella is the player that our club will be wanting to sign as I think he will fit our system better than Kieran Tierney.

I recently saw a tweet from an Arsenal fan saying they can’t afford to sell Tierney to us and some Arsenal fans agree

That's interesting. I suspect the Cucurella deal may well be the more likely anyway and possibly be a better fit for us (in term of a loan deal)

Right now I’d trust Howe 100%.. I’d even trust him if we signed Steve Bruce as a backup defender..the Howe factor just can’t be underestimated 😉

Cucarella was left out in the cold, in a mental Chelsea transition.. Prior to that he looked class for Brighton.. I think he would thrive under Eddie and Mad dog.. Bags of pace and the engine required to be a Toon player..
