When I was a student I lived on Gallowgate Road and I could see the top of the stand from my kitchen. Newcastle is a brilliant place
we've sold a lot of big players in the last 2 seasons at brighton, dan burn was one of the cheaper players to go but affected us the most out of all of them, i still miss him quite a bit
We had a very noticeable drop in form after he left, letting goals in way too easily. Been a huge fan since his debut at Brighton.
His craic is class..you feel part the team when you hear how down to earth he is..class
You can really tell Dan Burn is grounded. Fair play to him - and his supportive friends and family.
this is why having local lads in the team is so important, not many other clubs have this, Dan Burn would die for that shirt and what it means.... you can spend 300 million and dodge FFP CHELSEA but you wont have anything like this coz its PRICELESS

Already one of the very best defenders NUFC have ever had. The fact that Dan is one of our own is just a canny bonus. Everyone who pulls on the black 'n' white jersey is actually " one of our own " .... and I am sure they feel it when the Gallowgate end roars their names. This lad should be one of the first names on the England Team sheet. He is that good, as well as being one of Eddie's best buys.
Andy Carroll on his day and free from injuries would have be immense in team also.
