First thing noticed - Jimmy Fallon's shiny jacket looked just like David Bowie's for the Heathen tour during early 2000's and same shirt/tie. Then saw Nile Rogers come on stage and just died! I am not alone is missing DB and it was a fun, great tribute. Good job, Jimmy Fallon!
I think they chose this song because the 34th anniversary of Let's Dance was on April 14th. God bless David Bowie. He and Lorne were good friends.

He’s takes sound and style inspiration from people like David Bowie and Mick Jagger. He’s gained the respects of legends such as Stevie Nicks and Ronnie Wood. Quit judging him based on the boy and he was in.

Totally agree! They made the difference! Most SNL opens aren't memorable or iconic. This one was, and the dancers were a part of it!

Epic. Jimmy Fallon is amazing. If he is able to keep his ego in check he could be or do anything he wants. He has the capability to imitate anyone extremely well. Someone mentioned that Stephen Colbert is kicking his butt. They are both great talents. I never actually watch either of their full shows. I just watch clips. Best of luck to them both.

Amazing chops! Wow, I had to scroll thru comments to verify he wasn't lip syncing, which would have been fine given all the moves he pulls off and the charisma. He sings amazing! Right? Negative comments have no place on sites where the mostly untalented and mundane people come to be entertained. Made me smile, so thanks to the whole ensemble team!

No diss, but I find it funny every time I watch this clip that everyone in the studio, from the 'audience members' to 'crew' are all young, hot Gap ad models with rhythm.
Mia7189 the guest who sit closest to the stage are either family or close friends of the cast, host, or musical guest. Im sure for this intro they had dancers sit in those seats so they could get behind jimmy easy and quick when the song started.
