@@wonderwatch2239 No, its a bad buy in Europe. Its already outrageously expensive in the US before shipping and VAT is added here. Magiclight does just fine for more than half the price. Typical American marketing worship.
I find that even when mounted as high as possible (i.e. your helmet), the shadows created by the low angle of incidence is a limiting factor. More power can even exascerbate this.
Evo is the best overall mtb specific light Infun GT is the best value while getting a similar pattern. Sold though as i see better with amber/selective yellow Green is another good color woth benefits
The best lights never get might ir any love Best overall light from what I've tested was the trail Evo I don't like the hangover, the upcomming Portal is more ideal for helmet. Infun GT200 is a great one for 45-65ish dollars.. Works well as either bar or helmet A cheap light to supplement the Infun when on helmet is the novsight 1600 on bar( for throw and street due to cutoff)
Unfortunately the new Lezyne lights weren’t available when Alex started lights testing back in mid-summer 2023. We’ll try and include them in next year’s lights test.
the gloworm x2 with 2x spotlight lens as a helmet light combined with a gloworm on the handlebars with a wide Lens is an INCREDIBLE Setup and cheaper than most single light setups from Lupine. the gloworm lights can also be used with any USB-c power bank which is incredible. This review is laughable: you could have easily customised the light beam with the custom lenses that are included in the package and made it a super wide beam. no mentioned of their app thats easy to use or mention of their OLED screen on the battery that shoes the runtime. the XSV would be the more sensible option on the handlebars

I agree , most are because theyre just an overpriced flastlight in a different form factor Theres only a few that stand out and use a legit good beam pattern..ie wide and evenly diffused beam with no hot spot and enough throw... Truck off-road pods or SAE fogs are where its at
I absolutely totally agree, they are a rip off ,I read your comment and had a look at Sofirn range of lights , they are really good and exceptionally priced , the problem is , in comparison to mtb lights , the flashlights don’t appear to have much battery capacity to power the leds at full power for very long , unfortunately this doesn’t seem to be the case with the more expensive mtb lights where you can get full power for well over an hour , I think if we want full power for long durations then it’s the mtb lights , I can truly see where you are coming from though , 👍
Well if you really think about it the light and the battery being in the same place could shorten the lifespan by overheating them. being separate prevents that. But again there are downsides to that as well.
What light setup do you use for night riding?
Outbound lights are amazing on the trail!
Thanks for the suggestion@@bike314 👍💡
Outbound Lighting, all the time. Road or Trail. Proper beam pattern makes ALL the difference.

Outbound 💯 🔥🔥🔥
Outbound Lights. Love mine.
Outbound is not available in Europe is it? Big vat and handeling fees from the US🤷♂️

As a visually impaired rider, i thank these products for existing and you for helping me and others choose the best option.
to really tackle offroad, you need a combo of a bike mounted light AND a helmet light to cut down on shadows over big obstacles
Outbound make great head lamps. The battery is integrated and the whole unit is very light.

Raveman xr6000 looks promising as a dual purpose light(street/gravel and singletrack)
Best. Bike

The evo 1700 or cbl 1600 for price is the best you'll find with high and low beam and as powerful as car headlamp
Noticed you didn’t cover the new lezyne range

Just buy a torch with a bike mount and save tons of money
£400+ for a light? It’s not a lighthouse or search and rescue helicopter 😆
Please tell me where I can buy a lighthouse or a helicopter for £400
@@fieryawesomeness😂 bright as a lighthouse or search light attached to helo is what petern6501 was referring to but your comment was funny
