I’m digging the added frequency of the “Ask Al” videos!
Hey hey hey Al, I've seen you performing pistol squats, one arm push etc .. do you still include normal versions of squats and pushups in your workout? If yes, how do you combine them?
Thanks, Al!! I needed this.
GREAT VIDEO!
Do you have another video on the 40-30-20-10 basics?

Konichiwa from Japan, Al sensei!
Thank you for sharing your teachings.
Here, I would like to ask you something.
I’ve been away from workout for my injuries and got pounds of fats.
Then, how should I restart my workout journey?
Also, what have you advised your clients who were in the same situation with mine?
P.S. My Japanese name is kind of hard for Americans to read. So, if you have to call me, “Beef Baby” would be great.
Hey hey hey Al, In an exercise, would you recommend progressing to a difficult progression or add weights to the current exercise.
For E.g. If I want to progress from pushups, should I move to feet-elevated pushups or use a bag of weights and do regular pushups?
I am not Al, but maybe my suggestion can be helpful. Start with the elevated feet variation. This will give you a solid foundation for the weighted version. You can only go so high before the elevated version becomes a Handstand Push Up.
After mastering the elevated feet version, then do the weighted variation with increasing weight (slowly add weight per week or so). Hope it helps.
💯
