just like theres no ultimate technique, theres no such thing as good posture. posture is a single element apart of the many of which constitutes perceived success.

Hi Tim, thanks for your comment brother. I know where you’re coming from👍. When I talk about “good posture” I am just referring to an alignment that affords better leverage, which is advantageous in a sports environment🤙

im also referring to the same sports environment especially that of jujitsu, the body will be forced to contort in many different ways at all times in an effort to accomplish the goal of submission or perceived success. for example have you heard of the jefferson curl it goes against everything we're told about proper form when it comes to movement but it's movement is useful and can be applied to life. or how about john danahers system he stresses the form of a rounded back which is essential to apply his techniques. for the examples you showed your theories apply more, i just wanted to make a point that it's not always going to be the best form of posture.

I personally love the Jefferson Curl, it’s an awesome exercise and one I recommend often👍 Jiu-Jitsu is extremely complicated, you are right about needing to come out of alignment often to facilitate a position. When talking about pure leverage and maximum force production, every joint benefits from “Good Posture.” Unfortunately covering all the variables of alignment in Jiu-Jitsu is well beyond the scope of this short video. We can hopefully explore it more in the future though! Thanks for your input🤙
