I literally modeled myself from the Blaxploitation films/characters and Kung-fu characters like Bruce Lee, The Venom Mob etc. Not having a Father in the home you look else where to learn masculinity and how to carry yourself like a man. Also I picked up on fighting and how to defend myself because as a young boy alway to adulthood you have to learn how to defend yourself especially during my childhood because you had shootings but it was still more about fighting with your hands.
