How do you like the Leatt air lite armor? I just ordered mine today and got my Ecotherm and Basilisk jacket. Yeah kinda tight in shoulders...arms are fine but...with the layers it's tight...
Really like my leatt Armour that's been a few years now and still using it. I did remove the chest protector just wasn't that comfy for me. Although it could just be me not used to wearing one.
Thanks Dan. I just purchased the Klim Badlands Pro jacket and pants, as sick of getting wet and having to stop to put wets on when it starts to rain. Have to also layer up under the gear in cold weather. Are you going to the Brass next weekend?
@@MOTODANS Yes leaving home (ChCh) Friday morning and heading to Fairlie for a pie. Might go through the Hakataramea to Kurow, Duntroon then to Palmerston for the night. See what the rest of the group want to do as a couple on road bikes. Hope the flooding isn't effecting you?
@@mikedew380 Sounds like a good trip will hopefully see you there! Not as of yet but we are in the potential evacuation zone so fingers crossed it calms down.
Another great vid mate, I've been looking for a new jacket for winter. Definitely worth a look. Stay under cover tonight the weather looks awful down your way!! Stay dry and warm!!!
I haven't just did a quick google there though. Seems like a different type of jacket. Depends on your priorities. Adventure spec is not waterproof and has inbuilt armour compare to 100% waterproof and separate armour. It would probably vent more though but then you have the option with the mosko to completely remove and just ride in your armour. Adventure spec looks a bit cheaper though. Entirely depends on your situation for me the waterproofness was a big concern and the need to no longer carry around seperate waterproofs was a winner.
@@MOTODANS Thanks. After several years of using heavy adventure jackets with lots of unnecessary pockets inside and out for me, I'm looking for something simple to keep my luggage to a minimum. This year I am going from Poland to Turkey and Georgia - 70% of the road is motorways, 30% local and gravel. Do you think the Basilisk jacket will be a good travel companion or is it better to buy a new adventure jacket?
A couple of observations from someone with long arms and a short waist 🤪, I always have trouble finding motorcycle jackets in my size that have long enough arms, and the double zippers are a must for me to prevent a 3/4 length jacket from bunching up in my arm pits. So the proportions of this one look pretty good to me 😆👍. Thanks for the detailed review !
Rock climbing jackets often have the bottom zipper so you can have your harness poking out the bottom when you belay. Weird to see it on a bike jacket for sure!
Yep. The left Euro zippers drive me craze. Ladies have left hand zippers in the USA. The reason men have right hand zippers in USA is because rich males used to be dressed by women. If a woman is dressing a male that would put the zipper on her left. Now American men have to dress ourselves but the zipper remains unchanged.

Have you seen the Mongolia jacket from Adventure Spec?
If you've seen it live, which one do you think is more practical and worth buying? :)

If you don't mind the idea of separate armour then the jacket will do the job great.

Sounds like it will be a good fit for you. Good to hear what the double zippers are for! Thanks for watching!
Great review, hope it will last you a decade to make your investment worth it. 😀👍
Thanks guys👍 here is hoping!

The zippers in America are all that way. Euro zips are opposite.
Never knew that!
