These changes are great! Apple has for too long prompted anti consumer practices and its about time this freedom is given back to the consumers. Now anyone mad about this needs to realise no ones forcing them to use these new optional features and they need to stop falling for Apples propaganda

You didn't mentioned the new EU fee structure it's 17% fee but the flip side is either EU chooses the existing 30% or the current one; you can't ask for more cuz it's easy job for apple if EU does so they can file for lawsuit that EU isn't following policies on hand, it's that simple. Apple doesn't have a software developer team man it's a legal team instead who introduced a new policy 😂😂😂 having obnoxious term for EU region. The new beginning of an era, it counts all sales, no of downloads, and selection of new term having 😂core technology use and other IAP fees. Lastly 😂€0.50 fees per user after a million downloads in EU region. 🤣🤣🤣EU is just shit that is forcing Apple to use malicious softwares, making able to load side apps; that freaking Thierry Brenton is responsible for this, that EU regulator 😂😂😂😂😂. Do you what he said in parliament in EU, 'our EU region fosters in innovation without compromising on security and privacy'.
If you choose that bloody new policy 😂🤣🤣🤣and most of EU chooses that new policy for startups and everything, I'm 100000% sure that every startup dies in Europe 😂 and eventually will move to existing 2 policies 30% one or the other devastating 27% policy that Apple 😂 published when they had their dispute with Epic. That policy is also devastating.🤣🤣🤣
Idk why EU is forcing APPLE to use malicious software, EU government is rich man they have so high taxes 😂 buy some cheap android man for your secondary phone so you can download malicious app or for other purchases or else buy Nokia keypad phones 🤣🤣🤣3310 that's still in option and 😂 you have ample of android phone even you can have Linux 😂 is based smartphone in my option.😂

Apple has taken steps to counter the new EU law which has massive negative potential impacts to developers and consumers. They did not go into details of the pricing changes and new user experience guidelines for apps like Epic, which are a big L for developers and consumers.

Hopefully the US congress wakes up and follows the same path. Our lives are increasingly becoming more reliant on digital services, and for Apple to take av 30% cut off of that is pure mafioso

Personally, I can’t see the issue with Apple’s stance. If you don’t like their ecosystem, go somewhere else, it’s not like there isn’t a choice!
Are Google’s Android users actually any better off? Were Micro$oft’s Windows Phone users any better off?
For all of the hype and controversy, iOS developers have made more money than rival device platforms combined, many times over, for one simple reason, people buy apps on iOS!
This has lead to better quality apps, especially with Apple’s scrutiny of apps code for malicious content, which costs money.
The suggestion that “some” apps aren’t available on iOS, is ludicrous. I don’t know of one app that’s available on rival platforms, that isn’t already available on iOS, other than some controversial apps. Now, there may be technical reasons, due to iOS’ API limitations, but that’s a whole different story.
While I appreciate some of what the EU are trying to achieve, politicians should not be making decisions about things that they do not understand, and it’s obvious that their advisors aren’t necessarily the experts they need, to make an informed decision.
When I made my choice, two of the reasons I chose to use iOS over Android, were the fact that people “actually” bought apps, and there wasn’t a way to download and use legitimate or illegal apps, and Windows Phone was already dead, after Micro$oft had already killed their own previous Windows Mobile platform. The least said about RIM’s Blackberry, the better.
This new legislation is different from forcing a standard cable, ie USB-C. Although I have to admit, Apple’s USB-C implementations for the iPhone 15 models, were disappointing extremely disappointing.
The EU’s Digital Markets Act, could come back to bite developers in a big way, and in turn the EU. Time will tell, I guess.
From a users perspective, what I would prefer, is full control over the apps that I use and buy. Have the ability to manage my apps, the same as a computer, download my apps, choose whether I want to update my apps. If there’s an issue, have to ability to go back to previous version etc.
Right now, if any of these mobile platforms remove an app, whether on the Stores discretion or the developers choice, we as users loose access to that app, and possibly our data!
Sure, there are ways around this, but why should we have to jump through hoops. For most people, this will never be an option.

EU: “We’re tired of our Android devices being the only ones susceptible to virus and malware from apps, let’s force Apple to use suspicious software too!”.

The reason I like Apple is the security. People need to stick to Android if they want to be able to download whatever they want.

Keep paying the 🍎 premium like a good corporate simp and nothing will change for you. Let others who have two brain cells and know this security argument is totally BS to spend less elsewhere.

    Hello🐦🐦🦩🦩🦩,
God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy, Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then He grew up and died on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child.
John 1:12 says, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name."

    Will you receive Christ sincerely?
