I am so glad you enjoyed your build. Good for you. With only a few Airfix kits left at my newsagent's and my Paper round money burning a hole in my pocket, I had a choice between; Buy a Mustang, a Camel or the Provost (1960s). I instantly regretted getting the Provost. Probably too basic to make it worthwhile, much like the Gnat. I can only hope the new Moulds make things more exciting.
Another great video and a great step forward . The Airfix Strikemaster kit always was expensive for its' size coming in as a series 3 kit, but was a great step forward in its' day. It did come with a selection of stores and offered the options of JP5/5A as well as the dedicated Strikemaster kit, unlike the Matchbox Strikemaster. Good to see you giving it the love it still deserves.
that model looks great! i totally agree models should be built to how you are happy with them for example both my mosquito and beaufighter are a light sea blue not dark sea grey because it looks better with the sea colour in my room and makes them feel real, great little section on oils as well very helpful. can't wait to see your next build :)
I built this kit when it first came out. You have done an excellent job on the instrument panel. I don't know how you build with those nails though. You have done an awesome job on this kit.
Awesome resilt. Did you say dust...i didn't see any dust on it. .it turned out FANTASTIC....just for a laugh you should consider adding an SF-260 W (E) of the Irish Air Corps "Green Sparrow's " display team to your display team collection
I think it looks good, I just bought a cheap Amazon airbrush kit to try my hand at airbrushing. I’m just getting back into the hobby after a 35 year break lol
Nice job. I've just started the MPC release of this kit. I wish my boxing had more decal options. I'm going to brush paint because I find airbrushing in a van can be toxic so to speak.
Oooohh check out your professional presentation, not sure if you’re doing a flower arrangement course or perfume review? 😃 nah definitely a info about strike master. 👍
Congratulations on a good build. You're getting more confident in your work, and I like the way you're branching out to try new methods and techniques. The old Airfix Hawker Hunter is a fun kit to do as well. There were actually many variations of the kit both from Airfix and other companies in 1/72; you could build up an entire squadron of different variants! I'm curious, do you keep your finished kits? Do you display them?
After putting the gloss on to put your decals on to keep them from silvering a Matt finish is what you need to use as a dull cote And that's after you create your weathering shadowing oil streaks and over all wear 😂 Like he said your not going to learn anything until start 😂
I have been waiting for years to get my hands on a Jet Provost T5/5A because it was the first aircraft I worked on when I finished my mechanics course in the RAF circa 1980, and I have not been able to find one, but now I know 100% that Airfix has manufactured it I have a better chance of finding one, if you happen to know the kit number for that variant I would be very very grateful if you could share it with me, thank you. In the very first photo it brought back some memories of the time I spent on them, and it looks like it was (to me) a MK3, the easiest way to tell is the fact that the canopy rail is parallel to the fuselage, whereas the T5/5A and Strike Master have rails at approximately a 30 degree angle from the horizontal, but the cockpit is almost identical to the later versions. Let me reassure you that the real aircraft are not much more complicated or difficult to dismantle and reassemble, built when not every single void was packed with avionics or computers.
those "brown paper" 90's airfix decals are well known for being terrible, I built an airfix dornier 17 E/F kit with them a while ago, every single decal disintegrated on contact with water! luckily I had enough spare letters, numbers and crosses to replace them from sheets used on other projects
The original paint scheme when new had a wavy separation line. Repaints in service saw it go to a straight line. So I wouldn't worry too much about that.
Sorry about the audio around the reveal. Despite paying for music I still got copywrite claimed and this was the easiest way to deal with it 🙃🙃

The new moulds are great. The old Gnat is one of the kits I hate most 😅
Another great build video, always liked the strikemaster
Much appreciated 💟

It's been on my to do list for so long, I'm glad you liked it 💟
Great video. The flowers look good.
Thank you! Cheers! 💟

Thanks for the super kind words! I am working hard to get the next few models done 💟
Great build great painting and a great video
Glad you enjoyed it 💟
That is very nice. I've been looking at different techniques for weathering and this appears easy and straightforward.
I am glad it helps 💟

I'm used to my nails by now - but thank you 💟
Great Lexi 👍🏼
Thank you kindly 💟

I have an SF-260 that I've just never finished 💟
@@MsModeller cool....what brand of SF-260 and decal options
I think it looks good, I just bought a cheap Amazon airbrush kit to try my hand at airbrushing. I’m just getting back into the hobby after a 35 year break lol
Cheap is not always bad - I've got Fengda and Gaahleri at this point and they are both great 💟
Nice job. I've just started the MPC release of this kit. I wish my boxing had more decal options. I'm going to brush paint because I find airbrushing in a van can be toxic so to speak.
That totally makes sense! Besides a lot of people brush paint better than I airbrush for sure! IT's all about what makes you happy! 💟

I'm glad you noticed legit because I've been working SO HARD to up my production game! 💟
Just added 3 more vintage kits to the stash today@@MsModeller
@MsModeller the yt channel "not a piund for air to ground" has a great little video on the strike master

I do keep them but I'm soon running out of space! So I don't know what I'll do in the future! 💜

I'm pretty sure it's the 90s boxing you're referring to! I'm really grateful that my video brought back what was hopefully lovely memories! 💜
Hi Ms Modeller! I am wondering why you always make models in 1/72 scale? Thank you for all your teaching! from Judy in Nova Scotia, Canada
It's just the scale I prefe I guess! It just feels right 😊
those "brown paper" 90's airfix decals are well known for being terrible, I built an airfix dornier 17 E/F kit with them a while ago, every single decal disintegrated on contact with water! luckily I had enough spare letters, numbers and crosses to replace them from sheets used on other projects
I don't think I've ever used them. Whenever I've had a kit with them I ended up doing something different
Would you build the Matchbox kit or are you happy enough to not bother seeing as you have this one?@MsModeller
Hello Ms Modeller see you in Telford yes or no
Yes I am! We'll have to get a picture this time - and maybe I'll see you in Malta in the future! 💟
The original paint scheme when new had a wavy separation line. Repaints in service saw it go to a straight line. So I wouldn't worry too much about that.
This makes me feel wayyyyy better haha 💟
