When I watched this video, I realized how wonderful you are as a mom, my mom is an alcoholic and she was divorced, and she was horrible to me. I had tears as I watched you spend time with your kids in that special 15 extra minutes before school and I hope that you realize how great of a job you are doing, God bless you and your whole family!

It's so beautiful to see the love you shower all your children with. You know exactly what each of them needs. One needs a hug, one needs an encouraging word, one get a pat on the shoulder, one get a loving smile and one needs to have an adult conversation with you, and you manage to get that in, in the middle of everything you have to do in the morning. You are an amazing mother! Bless you! Have a good week!

Ruth Ann you are amazing.❤❤The gift you are giving your children is priceless. They may not know this yet, but when they are older they will recognize it as such and treasure these times. 💝
The simple mundane things are where the joy of living is. I love how you frame things like “Harrison “gets”to sweep or Elvin “gets”to wash dishes, because it is such a privilege to do these things. Not everyone is able to do simple tasks like this or they live in a place that they are not afforded a life where they could, and they would give anything to have these tasks to do. I try to express this to people I’ve known who complain about “having” to go to work, I gently say, “you could look at it like you “get” to go to work, 🤷‍♀️ what a blessing. As a person who became disabled and unable to work, I know I would be thrilled and grateful if I could go. It’s about perspective. I love that you live like this and are teaching this to your children. God bless and keep you all. ❤️🙏

Good morning! Anyone that says being a homemaker is not a job has never been a homemaker! You are like the Marines, you get more done in the morning than most people do all day. All blessings come from God and it’s wonderful that you give thanks everyday. I do also. I would be nowhere without His grace. Thank you for the lovely video. God bless you and your family.

With your family…childhood chores are not even chore like…the kids have animals of all sorts to greet and feed and gather from and/or milk! How fun is that!! Even on a really cold morning…wakes you up and sets you for the day…bonus…someone is making you a hot breakfast and your lunch is almost prepared for you! Your children are so very fortunate to have parents set such a marvellous example for them! I absolutely love Dave the donkey (wish we had more footage of him lol) and the pig family is just so so precious! Xxx

My grandparents had the same principles of hard work. I remember as a child during the summer months being up before day light helping with chores. I did not understand the importance of it then. I am in my 50’s and I totally get it now. Thank you for sharing your life with all of us.

First of all, I love the upbeat music. I can't keep my toes from tapping along with it. Secondly, it is amazing to me how well organized you are. The idea of each child having their own responsibilities, and changing them around, is genius. They learn lifelong skills. They will always know how to work with a purpose and will always be dependable. To rise so early, do chores, play, prayers, shoved into such a short time is nothing short of remarkable. Well done, Ruth Ann. I love the music, the chores, the recipes, the Zimmerman's. We all love you. Merry Christmas to your family.

Oh i am so excited to see (whenever you get to it) the cast iron video! When i get new Lodge cast iron i can never get it right. I keep grumbling, "i need to get out my angle grinder or something. No matter how much i season it, this surface is not manageable!!!" My mom's skillets that she got for me at yard sales over the years are so much better!!!!

You get used to it. But it's essential to dress in layers when the weather goes below zero. I know AZ is very beautiful, but I don't know how well I'd do in the heat. I'd probably stay inside until after dark.

I was farm raised. Lots of chores before and after school. My kids had chores and if my bra doors cl.e visit, they get incorporated into the chores I'm doing.
But .without the !ord, we would have no Hope. So teaching and giving thanks and asking His protection has got to be a part of it all. With Him we can do all things, without we can do nothing !

Awesome video! I am worried though about the electrical cord laying directly in the straw. I had one to short out in the mulch bed and I happened to go out and saw it smoldering!!!

I really enjoyed this video! We also fully involve our kids in the chores inside and outside, and feel like we are giving them skills that will help them in their future families!

I would love to see a video of you making a hard cheese wheel. I’m still intimidated to make it having 3 under 3 and knowing it’s a lengthy process.

Looking at this video makes me miss my childhood so much, me and my siblings always did the exact same chores in the morning before school and evening, we were all so happy and had alot of fun, I think if all kids would grow up like this instead of looking at a screen al the time, we would live in a different world
