- This is the final instalment of my first ever Final Fantasy VII playthrough and I loved the game so very much. It opened my eyes to the franchise beyond my first Final Fantasy (XIII) and I have very much fallen in love with the series.

Sephiroth was too late. Aerith had already awakened Gaia. And Cloud sent her back to the earth where she was supposed to be.
Modern games just can't compete.
@@lonestar6709 turns out that special materia of hers that was, in her words, "good for absolutely nothing", was actually pretty good after all.
Yup, seeing Aerith (supposedly) looking on (or flashback) broke me to, on my first play-through all those yrs ago 😭😭
I love seeing younger people play and enjoy the old classics.
Me too man, I love watching the newer generation play all the games that had an actual heart and soul put into them and appreciate them.

Just a small note but I feel it is an important one. The first character we see in Final Fantasy VII is Aerith in the opening scene, and is the last face we see in the closing scene. Some might argue that it is Red XIII and his babies, but that cut scene is after the credits roll.
I just find stories that start and finish on a similar note to be very good indeed.
P.S. My parents never understood how much of an impact Aerith's death had on me, their response was "it's just a video game." To me it was more than that, it was an experience, and an unforgettable one at that (and was also my first FF experience.)
I always pointed that out, but then someone pointed a thing out to me. In the beginning, her eyes are open, and she's looking at a cracked pipe leaking Mako with concern. In the end, she's actually opening her eyes, and looking up with a smile.

You're the first person streamer that's ever tempted me to go over to twitch. Loved the parts of this playthrough that i've seen but hate that i've only seen 1 hour of the game. Wish i could have seen a lot more of your reactions (like diamond weapon approaching or putting cloud's mind back together).
I always took the ending with Aerith is being that that is what she was seeing in the Life Stream at the beginning so the story just keeps looping round and round. She knew she was going to die and she knew everything that was going to happen at the end. In remake she says you can't fall in love with me, and that's why, she's seen everything that is going to happen

If you want way more Zack, load up a save after Cloud puts himself together and go to the Shinra basement
Also play Crisis Core.
If you mod Aerith back into your party for that snowboarding sequence she actually has lines. She says 'this sucks'. Theory is she was supposed to die at a later part of the game and they never removed the lines because they should have been impossible to trigger anyway. Wonder how that will play out on the remake.
Now you see why this is the greatest game in the franchise.

She unfortunately used a vaccine first, which makes you immune to status effect changes, including cures if you use one while already under an effect.

Another story, this game and Final Fantasy Tactics were my introduction to RPGs and this Franchise. My father, back in the late 90’s finally upgraded from the SNES I had been playing since as far back as I could remember. My Uncle, his younger brother, heard and sent him a fairly big box of games. A lot of JRPG’s Suikoden 1, Persona 1, Jet Moto, and the bigger surprise Final Fantasy 7 & Final Fantasy Tactics. The first two I tried were Final Fantasy 7 and Tactics. Jet Moto was for friends and my sisters. Spent a lot of time on FF7 and it has become a bit of a nostalgia game I come back to. Much like a really good book. Yeah, my uncle is still a gamer at his age now.

I feel you would just sit there in tears if you played the original PSX version of the game. After the after-credits, it goes into a starfield as the prelude plays endlessly. IV, V, and VI end the same way.

Ya know, Even though I am glad I was born in just the right era for gaming I find it bs that I missed the era when gaming actually is acceptable. I was considered a nerd, shut-in, antisocial etc. Because as a child (and lets face it even in my adult years) I prefer gaming, to...well about anything else XD Glad to see the younger generation enjoying games that I grew up on still holding strong and even getting remakes ^_^ Great series and thank you for your hard work

That ending still gets me emotional to this day, and for it kinda makes me wish Advent Children wasn't such a bad follow up to the original game.
F*ck off Advent Children was fucking great. Not perfect, but I loved it.
@@Xeno_Solarus No need to get so heated. I always watch Advent Children when I finish FFVII, mostly because it has that comforting feeling of seeing the characters after the METEOR fall. I don't think the movie did justice to the characters and it's also bizarrely paced. And the villains are annoying hot topic freaks that solely exist to get Sephiroth on screen, so all it does is make me wish for Sephiroth to appear finally. Oh and the total basic portrayals of the party members, mostly anyone that wasn't Cloud or Tifa was just a one note joke box. Aside from all that, I do find it watchable, just very annoying.
From about 3:05 the RUclips subtitles literally say 'nipple lime'... WTF 😂
