:) ¡Gracias!
Nice build! Especially liked the combination of glue, screws and wood dowels for added strength in holding it together.
Yes, agree.
ruclips.net/video/a4yaJGb_tDI/видео.html
I can't think of a reason to add the dowels when the area is already screwed in on both sides. Even worse, they must be drilled out if a change or repair is needed in the future.
What is the importance of the dowels after already putting screws?
Love this video. Do you have a PDF plan of the sofa that you sell?
I also need one please
That's how you do a "How to Video" from start to finish no shortcut. Well done.
You should start a flat pack frame business
Build your own frames.
Just timber perfectly cut. And holes marked
Thank you for adding metric measurements, now I can easily follow along as you work. A really good video man. Shout out from South Africa.
where are the plans, i dont see anything in the description.
Hello... nice job.
question: what is the gun you use at the beginning of the video. what is the gauge ?? and also what is the type of wood? thanks.
What wood do you use for the frame?
Does anyone knows any special youtube channel to learn furniture frame making
This is super useful! I’m a bit confused why some of the wood say 155cm width and 198cm length, when it’s clearly not 155 cm width. Could you share what you meant by this?
I am also confused abt the measurements too...
one of the lower frames is says 155cm but u were holding it from top-bottom with 1hand while stapling with the other.....
Mr. Darren is there a way to display it in written form plz plz plz plz
That is meant to be 155mm, 15.5cm, same as the one parallel to it that says 100cm top to bottom, that is 100mm, 10cm. He just got cm and mm mixed up, kind of obvious that that piece of wood is not 1.5m tall....
@@weefatbobicus thank u. If U trully understand all the measurments would U be kind enough to share with me. THANKS!
@weefatbobicus please share measurements
Thanks for showing us a basic framework for a couch. I can see how most furniture we buy in popular stores come from a style so similar.
Thank you for watching our videos we do appreciate it.

Why is this guy using dowels, staples AND screws in the same joint? isnt glue and screws plenty?
Awesome!! I would love to see you do a Parsons chair with a rolled top! What kind of power drill are you using? What type of staples do you use? Thank you so much!!
I would really like to get the measurements for each piece of lumber used in this product.
One of the better video`s you use glue screws and wooden dowels good quality !!!
I recently removed the upholstery from my old sofa to see "the bones" and it wasn't put together nearly as well as this. I'm going to guess that most mass manufacturers don't do this much structural work.
Thousands of lifetime projects with Woodglut plans.
Those wide crown staples are at risk of splitting the arm stumps
I'm in love with the way you work. you are really observing and precise
Quality craftsmanship. Its not cheap plywood Chinese uses for making sofa at Walmart ..!😅
Thank you but your measurements are a bit confusing.
There are a couple thing missing for DIY though. How high up are the horizontal frame pieces that make the 'bottom' of the sides and back ( at 11:23). I see the size, but no location measurement. The wedges at 14:25 -- 1" square, but whats the angle? 22.5? and the board at 15:17 ? How far forward does it go? I can ge tthe length/angle for the support pieces that attach to it if I could see how far forward it goes...
Brilliant video, but the width you give for the piece marked spring is wrong. Your length is 198cm + 2 side pieces of 7cm for a total length of 212cm, and then the spring piece is marked as 265cm - and then shown to be shorter than the total length to allow the side pieces to fit. You may have meant 2065mm with a total length of 2120mm - giving the side pieces a thickness of 27.5mm then this adds up.
Is there anywhere to buy these plans to build myself? I cannot for the life of my find couch plans ANYWHERE on the interent! Cheers!
THANK YOU FOR THIS.
I’ve been looking for a video or pictures of furniture frames for over a year now, so thank you for this. As for the comment on its structural integrity, if you know anything about woodworking, you can use different joinery and fasteners. That said, I’ve taken some furniture apart made like this was old and it didn’t come apart easily.
Thank you for watching our videos we do appreciate it. Yes your right there are many other ways to join the frame.

Woodprix is a good solution for every woodworker.
Does anyone know what kind of wood he’s using?
Hey, who made the music for this video?
for the lower frame front panel 198 cm and long cross panel for back rest 212 cm so it cant fix the top frame unless if you push the vertical legs ( 66*7) or angle of 96.1 should be applied
I could not make frames like that all day at my work we use 45 staples easy 3 seat couch built in 20 mins with back ply
Well done Mashallah 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
How much did it cost to make start to finish ?
What is the point of adding wooden peg if steel screws are already used? Can anyone explain how wooden peg, which is obviously weaker than a steel screw, adds to the strength of the joint here?
What kind of wood is that
Rất cẩn thận và tỉ mỉ cách đóng tuyệt vời làm sao. Nơi sofa tin cậy... xin chúc mừng A.
Terrible way to join the wood frame. Almost pointless to glue end grain, the staples are all that’s holding.
I have a cheap leather sectional. Can I cannibalize the carcass and upgrade the upholstery to full grain leather?
I love your videos....u make it easy to follow with all the measurements that u provide......thank you 👍
What kind of wood did you used pls
Would you be able to add the average cost to build on your videos? I understand it’ll vary based on wood type, fabric and the time of build.
Hello, please tell me how you get the glue that strays from spraying gun?
Do you prepare the glue type or you buy ready-made from the market?
I'm looking to my an inline couch to a Murphy bed. So I'd just need the arms not the back, how would I go about this?
Great work but These measurements are misleading, tried practicalizing this but the dimensions dont tally
Dom.
Mine works too. I used the Woodglut plans and performed it without any problems.
here's a fun game... how many screws did he use. how about dowels? if you get the answer/s right you get a prize
I'm sure you will find good solutions for all your ideas on the Stodoys plans website.
Hello there,
Do you have an online training platform or material costing template?
It's good to see Woodglut have new instructions to save my money and energy to build it.
504 white glue is a fabric glue. Not specified for wood.
Love the video, I think I watched 15 ads through it, which was a lot. I get it though.
Espetacular parabéns!
What type of wood is this?
Sir, what is the measurement for those two small wood you used as the back support ? Those two pieces you picked up at 17:08
There are many similar projects in Woodglut's plans.
This what I do for a living. Ashley Furniture.
Nice 🙂 job 😄💯💯👏
It seems so easy when you do it 😅
Looks great by the way😊
I wouldn't make the frame one piece. I bought the ikea vimle and the sofa frame is 4 pieces and bolts together. Very hand for moving. And is plenty strong.
Most importantly the cover is individually wrapped onto each piece. The arms x2, base, back are wrapped seperately so you get much tighter coverage and makes it easy to wash the fabric as you can take them off individually and wash them
Also there is a company called soferia who do custom covers for ikea sofa.
I don't think building a sofa is worth the time because you can buy them so cheaply off the shelf.
True they’re cheap and abundant.
They are also poor quality, uncomfortable, and ugly. I don’t put cheap junk in my home, that’s just me though.
Ur grate creative pursone
I'm following u

What is the best and inexpensive wood to use ? Great job.
Thank you for this detailed video it's very helpful. I'm thinking about building a sofa. What kind of wood do you use? It looks like maple or maybe poplar.

¡Gracias!
