Gta 3 is not a fun game
Gta Vice City's pedestrian (NPC), character models, car models, texture quality and in-game mechanic way better than Gta 3. Gta 3 is the most unrealistic Gta game in the Gta series. Also, everybody knows that, Gta 3 is the best "Logical Flawed" game. So in your comment, Gta 3 and Gta Vice City should be replaced...
Note: They fixed blocky, pixelated character models and car models in the Mobile and Xbox version of Gta 3. They also improved the texture quality of Gta 3.

BLG, to answer your question, GTA 4 has better crashes than GTA 5. It had more effort in it, and it looks realistic when you crash into another car.

Because except one mission small objects dont effect anything, you couldnt break cars glass etc you can barely hit any npcs and no harm gonna come to them etc and in real life cops are agressive as f. Especially in America and IV cops are so passive
You can steal and do anything and they will just hold their gun to you for nearly ten seconds its very very easy to escape them

Look I get it, opinions are opinions and I know that I can't change that but you at least gotta agree with me that you wouldn't last 1 or 2 minutes against them because of how overpowered they are. In GTA IV, you could at least survive like for 5 or more minutes if you're careful with your health.

Story mode vs Online seem to get different damages for GTA 5. When I first went on Online for GTA 5, I took a bunch of cars on the tracks 🤣
Cars still drive until they can't anymore on GTA online, but in story mode they will have screeching tires, stall out, etc

I honestly don’t even know what 5’s damage model is. It just makes the car shrink.
It’s not damage model it’s mesh deformation but GTA IV Sounds are a lot more BEEFY Making it feel better but GTA V It tried to be forgiving with its damage but it sucked and the sounds worse worse

Body deformation is still more realistic in Gta 4.
Vehicles are stiff and hard in Gta 5. And some vehicles are immune to body deformation.

Physics is much lighter and appears unrealistic to me in gta iv. V's physics is heavier based on real life . Like really u crash on a bike and land 2 3 blocks away? Rdr2 physics is the best btw.
