We could actually see the old mutated form again. Just in separate ways
I think its pretty much cemented that U-3 and verdugo #2 will be in separate ways. The original seperate ways didnt really have any exclusive bosses, it would be nice to see her fight different enemies and bosses instead of just a randomizer like the OG.
@raydhen8840 that makes me wonder if there is more than one iteration of the verdugo? I know both the classic verdugo and U-3 are reptile/insect/human hybrids, so maybe they are related in some way. I would assume U-II counts for both verdugo henchmen, U-I accoounts for all novistador, and U-3 for transformed? Verdugo.

If you picked up that Golden Chicken Egg from Salazar's throne room while doing the side mission there, keep it for this fight (not to eat, though). Trust me.
One thing about Salazar in the remake that's confused me is his transformation. In the original he had two Verdugo guards, one you kill in the sewers & one that he transforms with. In this one, unless I've completely missed it, where did the second one go? You kill the one in the sewer still obviously but what happened to the second one? It was remarkable to see Salazar looking like a child. Was it so hard to keep JUST his face looking like the original childish one instead of turning him into a 90 year old lady?
I feel like it would have been better if they used Macaulay Culkins face model for him, therefore he kinda would have looked like Kevin from home alone, I think that would have been better
He was always supposed to look old, Leon even called him an old man in the original and Salazar had to correct him and say he was actually in his 20s. It's just the technology back then didn't show that well.
@@217adaptiveperspective Technology didn't seem to be an issue, as they were able to make Saddler and Bitores have very aged faces in the original, even adding wrinkles to Bitores.
@@DarkWatcher149 Yeah, kind of weird how they did Salazar's face. Either way, Salazar apparently has something called "Progenia" or whatever it was called, which makes him bald and tiny. That's why he looks like this.
Notice how the other verdugo is never present in this scene and does not show up at all after the first verdugo fight? Makes we wonder if in separate ways Ada has to kill the other verdugo
I found another way to kill Ramón Salazar without the golden eggs; shoot a bolt with an attachable mine into his mouth, when Salazar is incapacitated, stab him.
He didnt fuse only with 'bodyguard' which plotwise in original was propably his mutated butler but with Queen Plaga, origin of all plagas. For me its good cuz being stuck to wall and being an easy target sucks, mobility gives someone a lot of advantage + its easier to explain.
I liked this version of the Salazar boss fight compared to the original. Another thing I thought was cool was that he reminds me of the Plantera bossfight from Terreria, much more challenging and versatile than the original Re4!
Bro i cant beat this dude! No matter where i go somehow he hit me, and soon as he show himself and i shoot quick as possible somehow he already moves out the way!
This was the strategy I used: 1. Shoot Acid Mines as to not accidentally run on them. 2. Run to the side quick to avoid vertical acid spit 3. Get cover when he does either multi spit or overshot spit 4. Lure Salazar to do his insta kill move, dodge and use TMP, Shotgun or Magnum for high damage (he will be briefly exposed) 5. Stick to the bottom mostly. Only go to the top either to loop or lure. Reason to stick to bottom is because there is more coverage 6. Crouch when Salazar does his horizontal acid spit. This may not always work as sometimes the rocks will make Leon’s model go higher and into the blast… Hope this helps!
Hold on!!!! What happened to Salazar left hand? You fought the right one verdugo in the depths and the left was suppose to fuse with Salazar(at least in the old one I get this is a remake) so what happened to that one?

It would be nice if he mutates in separate ways and retreats to Salazar. That way they might actually fuse since Salazar can conceal himself in his form. We could actually see the old mutated form again. Just in separate ways
I would love that, but I think Ada arrives too quick to the motor boat.
I think its pretty much cemented that U-3 and verdugo #2 will be in separate ways. The original seperate ways didnt really have any exclusive bosses, it would be nice to see her fight different enemies and bosses instead of just a randomizer like the OG.
@@trevorduna7666 There was a note in the remake that mention one of the Verdugo was labeled "U-III", so yeah here's hoping
Verdugo.
Yea i doubt that what i said will happen, but still kinda hoping we could fight the original salazar boss even tho i loved the new one
Bro didn’t even let Salazar talk
I love how this salazar is even more classy than the og. "Utterly uncivilized" love that and the fact of the music being an orchesta and ends like "end of the performance" 😙🤌 10/10
So u must like old women with white hair and no evil - ugly kids with monster transformation with tentacles 🤣🤣
2:39 - 2:44 the Salazar opera OST theme is very lit and satisfying. It gave me sinister vampire/castle theme vibe
Salazar got tougher in this remake compared to the original which is more of a giant unmoving Target rather than a boss fight
The fact he just interrupts his monolog and just starts shooting cracks me up
I miss the knife hand throw
yeah :I
Well this time Leon was going for the head. If You get that reference :D
jeez everyone has to complain about something, this scene was done better imo in the remake
Atleast this time, even after Salazar survive against Leon, he still can flying around & travel all over the world, not only stuck on the wall...
I like the reference with Salazar's script from 1:19 to 1:38 since it reminds me of the original RE4 game.
Salazar on hardcore is a fucking nightmare
Can confirm, haha, I spent hours attempting to kill him. Was pretty satisfying once I finally got him though, gotta say.
I died like 14 times on this fight then said fuck it and bought the rocket lmaoooo
I was stunned when he shot him. I was like oh this Leon didn't come to play!
Bruh where is Leon's legendary dialogue
' Monsters. Guess after this there will be one less to worry about'
AFTER
Ah, now the "No, thanks bro" is an achievement!
Ada is fighting the left hand of Salazar.
Ohhh good point that's probably what will replace the j3 fight whenever we get the Ada campaign
@@nolimitjason5546 have you noticed when Ada said "She's lost no matter what."
RE4 Originally Leon was watch Salazar mutation with two other.
RE4 remake Leon just murdered Salazar as human being before turn in ugly mutant form.
REMAKE Leon was Savage! oh damn 😂😂😂😂
Looks like the Bitorez transformation :I
Salazar just talks too much that's why Leon went Savage mode.
Original León gives a thousand turns to remake León, he is cooler, charismatic and a superhuman, remake León looks like a lesser version of Chris
@@walterlopezfloresinfantes2380 he looks nothing like Chris in this remake. You’re typing without thinking
@@amuroray9115 oh don't worry that kid's just wearing nostalgia glasses and trying his best bash on the game. He's nothing to sneeze at.
Leon was sick of Salazars monologue so he used the mass effect renegade shoot interrupt 😂😂😂
Lol kinda like the window choice in ME2
OG Leon: Throws a knife at his hand
Remake Leon: *Just shoots him*
Remake Leon is the savage.
Is it just me or did he just completely vanish lmao. Unless this is his him merging with the other one but he wasn't even on screen?
People are excpecting him to show up in separate ways, just as U3
@Mundo Interno let's hope that's the case because it would make sense in context for the events leading up to Salazars fight
@@premium783You got that shit right on the money
@@bigtone231 That was a really clever way of surprising fans. Where is the second Verdugo, where is U3? Surprise, they're combined into one and it's in Separate Ways.
They sinned a lot by not showing the bosses transforming themselves as in the original. They simply cut the scene and they appear as "monsters".
So True!
Yeah, this sounds like yet another homework for Capcom’s next RE game
Seriously, for every good thing, there’s always something oddly stood out
I dont think its that easy to show their transformation, like damn how gruesome that would be. Also they have to think about Chinese market where these mutations animations wouldnt probably go through without getting a lot of censory.
They also did that a lot in re8, dimitrescu transformed behind a wall, that fish guy transformed underwater
+Nicholas Vargas I agree, it's a bummer that the transformations are cut
I was actually waiting to see if Leon would throw his knife into Ramon's hand again, but shooting him seems more... satisfying.
"youre nothing but an extra in my script so dont get too carried away"
If you throw a mine in his face using the bolt thrower at the very beginning, you can skip the whole first part of the fight
The bolt thrower is awesome for this fight if you upgraded it and saved up some mines.
That shit took me 7 tries to complete even in standard mode
It was remarkable to see Salazar looking like a child. Was it so hard to keep JUST his face looking like the original childish one instead of turning him into a 90 year old lady?
I feel like it would have been better if they used Macaulay Culkins face model for him, therefore he kinda would have looked like Kevin from home alone, I think that would have been better
He was always supposed to look old, Leon even called him an old man in the original and Salazar had to correct him and say he was actually in his 20s. It's just the technology back then didn't show that well.
He was supposed to look old for his age even tho he’s young
@@217adaptiveperspective Technology didn't seem to be an issue, as they were able to make Saddler and Bitores have very aged faces in the original, even adding wrinkles to Bitores.
@@DarkWatcher149 Yeah, kind of weird how they did Salazar's face. Either way, Salazar apparently has something called "Progenia" or whatever it was called, which makes him bald and tiny. That's why he looks like this.
Love how Leon is completely out of fucks to give. Catches him monologuing.
Thats so fricking Ramon Salazar know that guy! 0:10
Yoo, the music in this boss level is lovely
Notice how the other verdugo is never present in this scene and does not show up at all after the first verdugo fight? Makes we wonder if in separate ways Ada has to kill the other verdugo
3:33 fav part hahahah
0:35 now why didn't leon do that a long time ago back in the old re4 🤣
I found another way to kill Ramón Salazar without the golden eggs; shoot a bolt with an attachable mine into his mouth, when Salazar is incapacitated, stab him.
I need the OST up asap
"do you or do you not feel bonita Mr Kennedy?"
😂
The developers should have kept the original transformation and then have this be the second and final stage of that transformation.
they have other ideas so stop complaining ever since 2and3 remake was released people like it and now they hate this?!?!?
@@angelthomasagnas2960 bro nobody likes 3
@@angelthomasagnas2960 you dunno what you're talking about bro, nobody like re 3 remake
@@angelthomasagnas2960 Don't take him too seriously, the childish name says enough lol
Ooof I love this fight. It’s SO well designed and such an improvement on the first game
So in this remake Salazar transforms himself by his own instead of fusing with his Plaga Bodyguard...
He didnt fuse only with 'bodyguard' which plotwise in original was propably his mutated butler but with Queen Plaga, origin of all plagas. For me its good cuz being stuck to wall and being an easy target sucks, mobility gives someone a lot of advantage + its easier to explain.
@@Kiraxen Yes but what I mean is the fact they changed the fusion here.
@@Kiraxen But where even is the second bodyguard?
@@julianswinton5355 was sent to take care of Ada
@@julianswinton5355 the second one was sent to kill Ada. You will see him in separate ways DLC
“you talk too much”
lmao that was funny
I liked this version of the Salazar boss fight compared to the original. Another thing I thought was cool was that he reminds me of the Plantera bossfight from Terreria, much more challenging and versatile than the original Re4!
0:35-042 Failure to stop drill: Two to the chest and one to the head. I believe Leon was a Marine. 😃
It is also called the Mozambique Drill shot maneuver.
Bro i cant beat this dude! No matter where i go somehow he hit me, and soon as he show himself and i shoot quick as possible somehow he already moves out the way!
Hide in cover while he sprays gunk and then pop out last second to shoot him is what I did
If youre still stuck, there's tricks there like the Golden Egg throw. In my case. i just dodge and dodge and use my shotgun everytime he goes near.
This was the strategy I used:
1. Shoot Acid Mines as to not accidentally run on them.
2. Run to the side quick to avoid vertical acid spit
3. Get cover when he does either multi spit or overshot spit
4. Lure Salazar to do his insta kill move, dodge and use TMP, Shotgun or Magnum for high damage (he will be briefly exposed)
5. Stick to the bottom mostly. Only go to the top either to loop or lure. Reason to stick to bottom is because there is more coverage
6. Crouch when Salazar does his horizontal acid spit. This may not always work as sometimes the rocks will make Leon’s model go higher and into the blast…
Hope this helps!
The villain is like the TacticianExcellus rip-off, i was laughing my head off when Leon decided to just shoot him already.
Hold on!!!! What happened to Salazar left hand? You fought the right one verdugo in the depths and the left was suppose to fuse with Salazar(at least in the old one I get this is a remake) so what happened to that one?
They made 'economy' to monsters and we are in 2023 not in 2005 😂😂
Probably busy fighting Ada.
Just spent 3 hours on this...
That "No thanks bro" trophy sound never sounded so good.
I swear Salazar was the hardest boss in the game harder than lord Saddler.
especially on hardcore. I beat Saddler the first try even though I messed up. When I fought Salazar, I had to retry like 20 times
