Nunslaughter just shared your review video on Facebook
Necrotic Nick- I saw that! I'm glad they dug it!
Nunslaughter is my all time favorite band can't get any Bette r then these guys I even flew to Cleveland to see them seeing them this weekend in Brooklyn as well can't get any better then Nunslaughter
Nun’s Laughter
Necrotic Nick- Can't have "slaughter" without "laughter", right? lol
It's Sean Connery on SNL Jeopardy.
Konya was an awesome person. So was Schumacher. They're both gone. Rest in Power.
Schnauzer
Necrotic Nick- I watched a fair amount of interviews with Konya and he just seemed like a solid dude. RIP
great band and great folks. Long time friends and big influence for my band Gravewurm. Check out our 'Doomed to Eternity' album (features former Nunslaughter members) from 2015. It has similar vibe as them, but a bit more doom and black metal influence. Cheers.
I remember back when Nunslaughter had some of the demos out, like Guts of Christ. They were available back in the '90s from Relapse's mailorder. However, the first Nunslaughter release I actually got was the split with Bloodsick back in 1997, which I believe was the first of the many, many, many split EPs in the band's discography. After that, the next thing I got was the first full-length, Hell's Unholy Fire, still one of my favorite Nunslaughter releases. Over the years, the discography has been way too much for me to fully keep up with, but I have gotten quite a few releases (even though it is basically a drop, or maybe more of a bucket, in the ocean of the full discography). Another favorite full-length of mine is Hex and, of course, Red is the Color of Ripping Death is pretty killer.
Nunslaughter are like some raw black metal bands. Lots and lots of demos, splits and EP:s.
Necrotic Nick- Agreed. As a collector, this is a ridiculous band to go for he entire discography. lol
This was my album of 2021
Like Midnight they crush/jam Metal history into a tight D beat/hardcore blow up. Thanks for the review.
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! I love stuff like Midnight, Bonehunter and Nunslaughter for all the old school thrashy/ punky vibes on the album. They write killer hooks too.
In other news, Megadeth played The Conjuring live in Phoenix on Sunday. Can't remember the last time that happened. But I haven't seen Megadeth since the Countdown tour
Necrotic Nick- Provided there's no cancelation I'll be seeing them on the 19th in Detroit so I can't wait to here The Conjuring live.
This band always reminded a little of Abscess in the way that they have A TON of independent hard to find releases & splits. I've always dug this band but trying to collect their entire discography if your a completest is daunting to say the least!
Necrotic Nick- Yeah, as much of a completionist as I tend to be I only have the full lengths, a couple EPs and some comps but I'm always willing to pick up more by them if I find it.
Nunslaughter rules! i think this is my new favorite album from them .Goat is another badass release but this is best sounding album they have ever made plus the riffs are so damn heavy! i'm definitely buying this soon! Awesome review Nick! \m/
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! This was a fuck ton of fun to listen to. Probably their best production yet and those riffs are just sick as hell.
Nothing to see here, I’m just doing my weekend ritual binge with Thralls.
Necrotic Nick- Just make sure to keep the sabbath unholy for us.
just listened to it yesterday. I think it's a great record. Probably their best. great mix of old school death and thrash/black metal. I give it a solid 4 stars out of 5.
Necrotic Nick- I dig it and I also think it might be their best yet. I love all the old school vibes and the riff work is sick across the board on this one.
Best - Favorite part of this review, “ha. Just kidding. There is no god.” 🤘🏾
Necrotic Nick- A lot of people seem to have missed that one. lol. I'm glad someone noticed.
@@thrallsofmetal fun personal fact. I’m a huge fan of “The Four Horsemen.” Dawkins-Dennet-Harris-Hitchens 📚
They have well over 200+ records. They are like the death metal version of Buckethead regarding the discography 😂
Necrotic Nick- Dude, I should have said that because it's so fucking accurate. lol
Really enjoyed their last album, and defo wanna pick this one up, but it seems pretty hard to get hold of in the UK for some reason... I'll keep on the lookout tho. Good review as always fella!
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! While it might take awhile you can always see if any UK distro's are going to get some copies in that way you don't have to pay the extra shipping. It's totally worth owning though for sure.
@@thrallsofmetal - Necrotic Nick thanks big lad I'll take a look.
Love NUNSLAUGHTER, I should have my copy any day. Great review Nick. On another point your "relationship advice" made me spit out my water laughing so hard. Maybe another youtube channel lmao. Great review man.
Necrotic Nick- Thanks, man! Yeah, I've been a fan for awhile and I love their style. Lots of nod to early Death and Possessed. Yeah, I might be better at the "what not to do" aspects of being in a relationship. lol
Been meaning to get into this band. I always just assumed they were black metal cause of their name. But punky Deicide sounds dope. BTW you growing your hair out or just the bangs?
Necrotic Nick- It's very thrashy OSDM. I honestly thought they were black metal when I first heard of them and saw their album covers and logo too. I'm growing it all out at least for awhile.
If it's anything like Deicide it's worth listening
Necrotic Nick- It definitely has a bit of Deicide's sound but with more dark humor which I appreciate.
You guys should do your own "top favorite concerts" video, where you talk about some of the concerts that you have attended over the years.
Necrotic Nick- That would be difficult since I've attended hundreds of shows.
@@thrallsofmetal You should narrow down how many concerts you attended and talk about 20 of those shows.
@@thrallsofmetal I saw Clash of the Titans. Can't beat seeing 3 of the big 4, in their prime. Judas Priest is the best live performance I've ever seen, on the Painkiller tour
Is it safe to say this first wave black metal
This band rips. Has all the ripping d beat stuff, but hits you with thos cinder block to the head grooves as well
Necrotic Nick- I honestly love everything I own by them which isn't much when you consider the size of their discography. lol
So you still haven't got that cricket
Necrotic Nick- He's an illusive bastard. He might have friends too. My cat is still useless in this scenario too. lol
@@thrallsofmetal totally understand. I feed crickets to my bearded dragon and they occasionally escape. His name is Gojira by the way
Necrotic Nick- Nice! My cat's name is Rorschach for his symmetrical reticulated pattern and the fact that Rorschach was the coolest character in Watchmen.
So are they like War Metal like say Blasphemy? I have never heard them before
not that far off into war metal. but the mentality is there.
@@tibicostea2029 still sounds cool ,just the cover artreminded me of a more sophisticated Archgoat cover
@@joshuascott3428 true. you could interpret it as such. except for the fact that Archgoat covers are always in black white and red.
Necrotic Nick- Style-wise I'd say they're more OSDM but with a lot of thrash influence. Thematically similar to war metal though.
@@thrallsofmetal well i love thrash and osdm , so ill probably be happy lol ,i just like war metal lol
Album ranking ideas:
-Pantera
-Megadeth
-Metallica
-Slipknot
-Anthrax
-Korn
Necrotic Nick- I'd say just about all of those are on the list.
