This is so beautiful! There is really a cosmic feeling walking around in Enterprise...

Makes me think really the purpose of the Enterprise-D was a carrier, but a carrier for loads of research vessels. They could have been sending out loads of shuttles out on other missions, could have lots of different characters with small archs.

yes you are right , the main shuttle bay is huge and also shows off how big a galaxy class starship is . The main shuttle bay is like an Airport , well there are even towers there and 2 large Pilot lounges :-) I was walking around and counted like 47 shuttles thats incredible .

    • @linz8291

Perhaps heavy vessel carriers are more convenient for long distance space travel, because galactic scientific research is one of the main cooperation between different civilizations.
      Enjoy the starship transportation.

And this is why they never used the main shuttle bay on TNG. There aren't any sound stages THAT big

Imagine one Episode alone just about the bay, there's enough plot in there!

totally true , Main shuttle bay is like an entire airport ;-)

Thank you for very much for keeping the camera slow and steady. I really appreciate it. I try to watch other videos but they swing the camera around like crazy and or move too quickly and makes me motion sick. Your video didn't do that. Thank you, and keep up the good work.

      Hi TheBigExclusive
      And thanks for your comment.
It takes a lot of work and practice to move the camera slowly.
Some have commented that we move it to slow.
But it’s nice to see that you get the point of all this hard work.

I want to take a moment to "Thank You" and your team. I absolutely loved every step, and appreciate the attention to detail - especially 03/2597 Control room. You made my day. (Dyck and Thorne are correct on their comments)

I as a life long Trekkie always wanted to wander what the Main Shuttlebay on the BIG d was like for so many years... Thanks for recreating this, I hope there is more to come

    • @markusburkhard5712
      @markusburkhard5712 3 года назад +2

There is not. CBS had killed to project because there was this horrible Star Trek Brige game out there where they had the ENT D in it as well. But that looked nothing like what Stage 9 did. So sad, I wish Stage 9 would resurrect this by crowd-funding a license to get it done with Paramount's approval.

@@markusburkhard5712 yes makes me sad as well , with version V 0.11 they just been working on getting transporters ready :-(

Beautiful! Wish we could have seen it in an episode. They started using CGI with the Crystalline Entity in 1991. Could have shown a lounge or control room looking down on the bay. Didn't need motion capture for views through windows. Static camera, blue (or green) screen windows.
But I would like to comment on one feature. The walk-through shows a staircase from the second deck down to the main bay. However, there's no physical hatch (door). Considering the main shuttle bay roll-up door opens to space, there's a chance the force-field could fail causing decompression. That's why all galleries have windows, and there's a physical door everywhere else.

They could have done it with long-existing techniques like Matte Painting. STAR WARS did a lot of Matte Paintings in order to enhance the picture.

Considering they didn't have the budget to build the main shuttle bay for TNG. It's impressive how huge and warehouse like it is.

An old sailor's tradition, every ship must have a bell to draw attention to itself in fog.

Great Video , i can play the stage 9 only in 1080P xD , hell it looks outstanding in 4k ...its like seeing the D in real life , just wow . Btw i found another secret you might like to check out : when you leave the ship with the type 6 shuttle at shuttlebay 2 ( works only with type 6 !) you can initiate saucer seperation and watching the seperation and then you can fly from stardrive to the saucer far away xD . Hell even there is alot of love at details , you see the connections of the saucer and stardrive on the head of the star drive *.* . When you are in Space with the type 6 shuttle just leave the helm seat for a moment and you gonna expect a new console in the mid ! there is a huge red button called "Remote Saucer Seperation " activated with left mouse button :-)

Excellent video - best I've seen showing the Stage 9 Main Shuttle Bay in all of its glory. I wish to ask: what is the source of the music? Was it created specifically for this Stage 9 production? Did it come from one of the Star Trek movies? Thanks!

i'd presume those are sections of the ship that hadn't been modeled in yet, and that was just a cheeky way of putting a "no further entry" in the environment
