In K5, the assessments/tests/evaluations are mixed in with the daily worksheets. Pg 12, L15 and pg 27, L35 in Numbers are where the evaluations start for this book. They are usually flagged with the yellow box to place a grade on the paper. Pg 11, L14/15 in Letters and Sounds are where the evaluations begin for that book, too. You save the graded sheet with the yellow box to send in. Make a copy in case they get lost. @waynescoggins
@@rachelle7740 so I don’t have to save them until the sixth week correct because some of the earlier lessons have yellow boxes but it says I’m not supposed to grade them
I am so sorry to not get back with you. For some reason I never got notifications for your replies. Please forgive me? Were you able to find answers for your questions? I'd be happy to reply and help you if you still need it.
Hi I love your videos!! I have a 4 and 5 year old. I haven’t bought abeka yet but I wanted to see a more in depth on the kindergarten curriculum. I’m wondering if Abeka is worth it because it is pricey and also what I should buy for preschool and kindergarten. My 5 daughter is still learning alphabet and numbers. She can count to 10 but does not know her alphabet well. She knows some but not all.
Tiffany Blake Thank you! I’m so glad it is helping you. I’m new to RUclips videos but hope it helps anyone with questions. Kindergarten (K5) sounds like a good fit for her. K4 goes a little slow but perfect for the maturity level of the kiddo (4 year olds.) Here’s my spiel about Abeka. I post this frequently on an Abeka fb page. 🥰 I like Abeka as a curriculum because it is an all-inclusive curriculum. There are a few ways to homeschool 1) Buy all the books 📚 (teacher keys and “how to teach” books from them) for a grade and you can teach. It’s called parent led. You Administer tests. 2) Abeka Academy is books and tuition with DVD’s of a teacher instructing all school year long. You don’t have to teach at all. (Maybe review and such.) You administer tests. Now, there are two ways to go about how you keep records. Accredited is Abeka holding you accountable. You administer tests and send them to Abeka to grade and give report cards. You have to stick to their schedule. Unaccredited/Independent is when you make your schedule (Abeka gives you a year to finish DVD’s.) you give tests, grade them and keep records. 💐 I personally like this one since we are a large family and I double up lessons or stretch things out. I also teach in the summer and take a longer break from Thanksgiving to Christmas. 🎄 Some people say it’s expensive 💰 but TWO months at a private school is the whole tuition of Abeka for one grade! You pay for what you get. Abeka has been around for almost 50 years. It’s tried and true! 💕 It’s Christian non-denominational. Bible lessons are part of classes every day! www.abeka.com/Homeschool/
Thank you so much! This was very helpful. I was definitely feeling overwhelmed

Hello, I am planning to use abeka and I have to have 180 days of school how would you recommend filling from 170 lessons?
Aw. I just saw this comment. Sorry I didn't get back with you. You can write the calendar out with 180 days and include field trip days. They count! 😊
