I would say it depends on what racket and type of string you using. If you are using smaller/narrow racket head, you tend to have harder string bed comparing with larger/narrow racket head with same tension, and the harder/ heavier the the racket head the string bed hardness will be lower
I realized I gain points more through more controled shots/returns, not smashing power. Lower tension can give boost through catapult action but in expense of control. Hence 27 or 28 lbs is best for me.

Hi CK, I really hope you will respond to my question. Is there a difference between stringing 27x29 lbs compared to straight 28 lbs? Thanks in advance!
Beginner here, is there a way to know whether a racket definitely needs restringing, like from pressing your fingers on it? I get minimum bend in the mesh when I press with my fingers, and the devil in my mind is telling me maybe it needs restringing, but there's also a good chance I have no idea what I'm saying and a restrung racket at 22lbs is exactly what I have.
i think, since finger force applied is very inaccurate, people tend to hit the side of one racket to another to hear the pitch of the strings obviously this only works best if you have a racket known to be at the target tension to compare pitches..
I do 27x29 yonex 1000z on kizuna d66 lusty :) love the feel and sound :) idk if i should try it with the exbolt 65. I tried exbolt 63 and it just snaps after 5-7 sets. Love the crispy and sound when i smash and drop you know when it hits the sweet spot :)
currently using 32-35 with pre-stretch (exbolt 65). i used to use 28lbs or 29lbs. my only reason going in tension is that i wasnt satisfy with the feel despite changing strings in hope for a better feel except it didnt quite work. im using the 99 pro and i know its softer than an average yonex racket but ive had much softer feel rackets in my lifetime. quite happy with the tension and i havent broken my strings for about 24 hours of game time now and only now its just started seeing signs or wear. strange how that works since i often slice alot of my dropshots. ive known players using a lot lower tension and break strings within 20 hours. (a tips with yonex rackets with the bumpers, you can swap the bumpers around without a problem. i swapped the control assist bumper onto my 99 tour strung at 28/30lbs with pre-stretch and played like a 99 pro without the extra head weight
@@ArnaldoRampado just depends on the player. When i was taking about soft i was taking about the racket not the string. Im able to make those strings last for possibly average time of gameplay.
