    That grouping of trees is going to be amazing upon maturity. I don’t see how you picture all of this in your mind’s eye, but after you talk us through it, what I see is gorgeous. Can you just imagine walking through the south garden in 15/20 years?!

      Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Just enjoy the day. Today is the day of salvation. Who knows... Jesus could have been back by 15 or 20 years in 15 or 20 years. Only one third of the world's population is going to survive the great and terrible day of the Lord's return. If Jesus does not return then no flesh will be saved alive. And none of those saved alive will have a chance of eternal life such as we have today. Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Repent, every one of you and be baptised in the name of Jesus the Christ for the forgiveness of sin and ask God for His gift of the Holy Ghost and Fire with the Holy Bible scriptures evidence of speaking in an unknown tongue as the Spirit gives utterance just like on the day of Pentecost. For the promise has been available for the past 2000 years. Jesus said that to enter or to even see the kingdom of heaven one MUST be born again of water and of the Spirit. Water is baptism by full emersion at an age of understanding and Spirit is to receive Gods gift of the Holy Ghost and Fire with the Holy Bible scriptures evidence of speaking in an unknown tongue as the Spirit gives utterance just like on the day of Pentecost. God is a Spirit and He seeketh such to worship Him. True worshippers worship in Spirit and in truth. Pray without ceasing both in the Spirit and in the understanding. With faith, nothing shall be impossible for you. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. You build up your most holy faith by praying in the Holy Ghost.

      When I'm out working in the garden at peak sun, I bungee an umbrella to my old rolling Rubbermaid Roughneck garbage can. The OLD one with the textured surface. I save my faded but still sturdy patio umbrella to use. If the can is empty I just toss a brick or two in the bottom for weight. It saves me from heat exhaustion and sun exposure.

    I feel like you’re living every gardener’s dream life Laura - and I so love being invited to watch a bit of your fun. I think I discovered your channel just days after you moved into your home and as you went out to the South Garden today it struck me just how much work you & Aaron have put into this property. The neighborhood adjacent to you has grown right along with your gardens and while they all have a lovely view to all you’re doing out there, that will soon be screened by all the lovely trees and shrubs you’ve planted. I just am so very excited to see all aspects of your property evolve and grow. As someone who has left a large property filled with gorgeous plants, I hope you end up staying at your current home. I am afraid if you ever sell, your home will become a venue. That wouldn’t be as nice for the neighbors. At any rate, this is absolutely the most fun watching you live out one of my fantasies of having acreage to garden:)

    The trees look awesome.🌲🌳 Can’t wait to see the pond guy’s start your new water feature. When we did our pond 20 yrs ago, I pushed the guy’s to make it as big as possible. I was so glad I did. It’s been the most enjoyable aspect of our garden. The wildlife it brings to the garden is amazing. Fish, birds, ducks, dragonflies. There is always something to capture your attention.😊 I’m looking forward to seeing it all take shape. Have fun 😉👍🏻

      Yes! Dragonflies use at least 2 feet depth of water to lay their eggs in! They do eat a lot of bugs and hopefully they will eat the bud worms and the spider mites if they ever plague you again, Laura.

    Tree envy 🌳🌲😁. As I was planting my gardens this season in full sun ☀️ it dawned on me to grab one of my patio umbrellas to shade me and what a game changer that was! Why in the world has it taken all these years to realize I have easily portable shade?!? I have so loved watching all of your garden ares develop over these past few years.

    I wish I could spend more time in my garden right now, as it desperately needs my attention! I honestly cannot bear the humidity here in South Eastern/Central Kentucky! The humidity has been at 80-100% every single day now for a few weeks! Thank God after today the forecast is giving us a break from the humidity. Dryer air moving in along with tolerable temps in the lower to mid 80's will be a huge blessing. At this point I can take heat and thought I was use to humid weather.
    I suppose getting older does make a huge difference. My doc also said my biologic meds for autoimmune diseases can also change what ones body can take temp wise up or down.
    Blessings to you all.

    Aaron may have been embarrassed to say the phrase, but he has said it twice now that have heard and it is the best advice I have gotten all year! Thank you, Aaron!!!!❤

    • @jgwood10
      @jgwood10 Год назад +3

      It’s not good advice for everyone. It depends on your soil. If you have hard clay soil you need to plant high. Water doesn’t drain well in clay soil and it can accumulate around the roots if it’s too deep and cause rot. Check your soil before planting.

    • @anitahadley2871
      @anitahadley2871 Год назад

      @@jgwood10 it is good advice. Aaron is saying to plant high and that’s especially true for clay soils but really for everyone since you don’t want to bury the root flare.

    Can't wait to see the pond project. Last year we moved to a house with a pond and a very overgrown yard. It's been a long process to uncover everything but so worth it. Looking forward to seeing how you plant it all up!

    So many trees!!!!
    Ponds need alot of sunlight for oxygenation.
    Small delicate plants around the rocks, like low growing evergreens, grasses and ground covers will be beneficial, not 30 ft tall trees.
    Ponds take time to come into their own, so no need to rush this project.
    I noticed no waterlillies, which I thought would be first on the list.
    So good to see Benjamin asking questions and developing into his own personality.
    Love it!
    Jo

    Back before tractors had enclosed cabs with air conditioning they had the option for an umbrella. I can remember seeing the bright yellow John Deere umbrella out in the fields. Loving the trio of trees! Maybe I need one more.

    I can't wait to see the pond, it's going to be soooo beautiful 😍
    Benjamin is checking on you guys 😂, adorable! I love how he was involved in planting the tree, he will remember these things all the time 💜🤗💜
    I looked up the red oak and in one place said that grows to 100 feet tall, in other 50-75 ft. tall, 40-60 ft. wide..... it's going to be huge! Also lives 150 to 500 years so cool, Aaron is in cloud 9😊
