I really like this video and every time you point out a fake/scrapper and why. Seeing them "on the board" like that and pointed out is SUPER helpful!! (Heading for WDW in May and Disneyland in December so I can't wait to put your tips into action.) Congratulations on your wedding!
Hey guys Disney has made so so many pins from Disney that were out long time a go that are now made by Loungefly so just because it doesn't have Loungefly back does not necessarily mean it is a scrapper. Also yes that pompom is probably a fake but Disney has made pompom pins way back in the day. There are rules to pin trading. It has to have Disney stamp on back. Trade mark Disney stamp in order to be traded. Also only two pin trades per cast member. You can't trade your pin if it is already on the board/lanyard. Thanks for letting us go with you.
@@adamchrispinz oh ok I am sorry. I didn't know that. You guys have so many more pin boards I feel than we do. Plus you guys are in the parks way more than I am. I wish I could be in the parks as much as you guys. Thanks again for letting us go with you to the parks. And to see all the pins. Greatly appreciated
Are you allowed to pick them up of the cast trading boards and handle them if you can't tell, to feel the weight and see the back, or do you have to tell from visual inspection of the front only? Some of them seem easy to tell to me but some have been really hard for me to tell when people show pictures comparing them. I'm only able to go to Disneyland maybe once a year so I feel like it'd take me a really long time to get the hang of which things are scrappers on the boards. I love your videos! I wish I could go to Disneyland all the time, haha. But the next time we're going will be the month after our 15th anniversary! It'll be my combo birthday/anniversary/Halloween trip haha. I remember how ridiculous wedding planning was and then how fast the day went by in an blur. Haha. It'll be one of the greatest memories of your life, and it'll make all the stress of planning worth it. :D
I traded on the boards at Downtown Disney recently and was able to handle the pins before trading them in certain locations (particularly the hotel front desks probably because staff tended to be busy with check-ins and other work). My watch band is magnetic so that helped me screen out some of the fake pins at least!
For the most part yes! We usually pick them up if we want to feel them for weight if there isn’t a line behind us. If there’s a cast member with a pouch we ask if we could take a look at the pin & they’re usually ok with it
Word of advice- always add in the bloopers. Sweet and hilarious!

Can you share more info on your pinfolio? Also thanks for these informative vids! I’m a newbie pin trader ☺️

Yeah that is true, but that specific Loungefly pin is unfortunately known for being faked. Thanks for watching!
