Randy Hansen Is the best compliment to Jimi that I have heard,he's good in his own right as well. Underrated as well.
I saw Randy play at The Stone in San Francisco back in the 80's. He tore the club up and shredded that Fender. He even ran out the doors and solo'd out on the hood of a taxi cab on Broadway st! One of the best performances I've seen. Guy's been great for years! Totally underrated guitarist.

Randy is phenomenal. Played with such feeling that I got chills from it. He always comes over as such a likeable, humble dude, too. Randy transcends all of those sterile notions of race, sexuality, gender, etc., with that core, essential honesty in what he does. Great support from the band, too. Mind-blowing.

I am completely dumb founded...I honestly felt SRV version of this song was the best cover tribute to Jimi until i heard this guy. Randy is so under appreciated as top 5 all time greats, that i rearranged my order of the best of the best, to include Him.
