Randy is the best musical Hendrix impersonation around; he so understands and embraces Jimi's way of playing that it is close to reincarnation. And he plays Jimi's music more authentic than SRV - I adore all three, each for his own merit.
Hendrix was sloppy live and never played the same thing twice,but all in a good way.Randy is the same.Its all about feel,tone and the fluidity of his playing much like Robin Trower was compared to Hendrix(check out his Bridge If Sighs Lp).Randy does wander of a bit on this take but jeez I have boots of Hendrix wandering off plenty of times.
