  • Whether you're a 4WD rookie or a dead set legend, there are tracks for you around Anglesea. In our final video of the area we show you where you can go to test your own abilities. if you've never taken your rig off-road, it's time to get those tyres dirty. Remember to always drive to your ability, your vehicle's capabilities, and the track conditions. Take care out here.

True. We went to toolangi and had to back out a few times. Lerderderg has a good mix of tracks from easy to WTF. 😄 Kinglake depends on what year you go there. If it’s been dry it’s so easy. If it’s been wet…
Hope you enjoyed the video. And please subscribe if you haven’t already.

Where about were you camping at the end? It looked really nice.

The camp is called Tanners Bend. There’s some more footage of it, and the road in, at the start of our previous video ‘4WD adventure in the Great Otway NP’. It has a couple of fire pits, tables and a toilet. Easy access off a dirt road. Really nice spot and very convenient access to tracks.

I’m looking at doing something not deep off-road since I drive an awd,any suggestions around Melbourne and Victoria?

The Lerderderg State Forest has some easy tracks and is not far from Melbourne. Cobaw is another. I wouldn’t suggest Warburton at all if you don’t have 4WD. Just remember that track conditions can change from day to day. Don’t be afraid to turn back if you have the slightest concern about you or your vehicle’s ability to tackle an obstacle. Let somebody know where you’re going and when you’ll be back. And don’t enter 4WD only tracks. AWD is not the same. I hope that helps.
