- Legendary Rock Group ANGEL onstage for the first time in 35 years at the 2016 Vegas Rocks! Hair Metal Awards in Las Vegas. TV/Radio Host Eddie Trunk presented the band with the Glam Rock Legend Award.
35 years later and their hair is still epic.
I always wondered who their hairstyist was. Doing one helluva job for a HELLUVA band.
Except Gregg. Lol! Punky is so cool!
Oh my God! ALL OF THE ORIGINAL MEMBERS!!! AND WHAT SPEECHES! INCREDIBLE! THANKS FOR SHARING THIS RARE VIDEO! ❤❤❤❤
The time is now! Angel spread your wings and fly!!!! Reunion Album and Tour!!!!!
And so it is! 2019. Risen album. Saw them at the Whisky a Go Go three weeks ago
It was really cool of Greg Guiffria to mention all the great Rockers that passed away in 2016. It shows that this band thought about a lot more things than just themselves. That's saying something too, because they were truly great and Under-Rated! Here's hoping that they Reunite, and show the world again what great Musicians they are!!
I fucking love these 50-60 year old rock stars still living the life!!!! Rock on!
Saw them in 2019! Met Punky and Frank! I can die now my life is complete!
I saw Angel Live 1975 Cleveland Public Hall .. First Concert Unbelievable
saw them twice live in south bend Indiana. first in 78 then again in 80! one of the best live shows around! still have all their albums! great times!
Watching this video , I'm 40 years younger! Still listening to Angel very often and glad to see you in shape!
So great to see my childhood stars being remembered and saluted!
they did have the greatest show ever!
Angel had the hair and the hooks. I was lucky enough to see them open for Blue Oyster Cult at the Forum!
I was lucky enuff to have seen Angel at the Memorial Hall show in Kansas City, Mo on March 21, 1979. Yep the full blown holographics show tour that Eddie Trump mentioned. I was 18 years old at the time and having seen many huge names live at that time Angel just left you stunned and speechless.
Musically they were a helluva band live and no one to this day and I mean no one in this age of technology has came remotely close to pulling off what those shows did.
Jeff Taylor I saw them on Valentine's Day in 1979 in Tucson Arizona, they opened up for Styx.
Dr Ice greatest unknown song ever!!!!!
To the person that recorded/uploaded this....THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
I seen the almighty angel and the godz , angel and hawkwind, I seen them open for Styx at the spectrum, they had the best coolest show ever it was a religious experience!!!!!
I'm trying to figure out who in the heck recorded this? It was obviously someone sitting with or near the band members. Anyway, I wish to thank whoever it was for capturing this moment so that we fans could watch it. Kudos!
Since Frank posted it, I'd venture a guess that he may have had his significant other record it??
@@deddilus Possibly, except that when the camera briefly panned back to the front row, I thought I saw her sitting there. So maybe one of their kids?
This is why hair bands were born say hello to the GODFATHERS! Royalty. Listen to Tower and close your eyes!
TREMENDOUS Band
The time is long overdue for a full-fledged ANGEL reunion! Anyone who doesn't think Angel was a great band, ought to try singing Feelings, or try playing Punky and Greg's solos on Feeling Right! These guys were and are the real deal as musicians! I saw Angel 10 years ago, without Greg or Punky, and Frank and Barry still rocked the roof off the place! But let's face it,....... it is time.... TO LET THERE BE ROCK, ON EARTH, AS IT IS IN HEAVEN! ANGEL REUNION TOUR..2018!!!!!
Long live Angel !!!!!!
Yes!!!!!!
The best LIVE show in the 70s consistently everytime i saw you guys!!!
just wanted to mention if they were doing their speech they said that many people musicians that passed away in 2016 had a lot to do with their coming to life as a band today we lost Greg Lake from Emerson Lake and Palmer we lost another one from Emerson Lake and Palmer earlier this year but look them up they all stood Christmas song called I Believe In Father Christmas or the best videos I've seen on the tube these days is 1 that is probably the most recent one is I Believe In Father Christmas with Greg Lake and Ian Anderson is actually in a very nice Church setting you will appreciate it very much and Merry Christmas to all peace on Earth and let's pray for each other because 2016 has not been kind to us so let's pray that 2017 is also there are only a handful of really good Christmas songs out there that that were in this genre pop rock and more and this is one of them thank you for posting this December 8th 2016
Wow, the heavens really opened up here!
I met these guys backstage at the Allentown Fairgrounds when I was 17 (I'm 55 now). They were amazing., had such a crush on Greg. Where does the time go ?
Best band ever ❤️ 💙 ♥️ 💖
Good evening Los Angeles......saw them on their tour they recorded the double live "Live Without a Net" Long Beach Arena with Sammy Hagar and Frank Marino....Fing Awesomeness!👊👊🤘🎸🤘🔊🔊🔊
One winter's eve circa '78, my beauty-school dropout mom grew weary of window shopping in Wheeling, WV whilst my 15 year old friendgurl & I were rocking out to the Godz & ANGEL, & ventured into the Capital Music Hall, quietly taking a seat in the back of the raucous theatre to kill time & warm her cold bones. We had no idea she'd joined the party & would've been appalled had we found out sooner - we loved ANGEL, but certainly were no angels - even at that tender age, & the party favors were flowin'. Evidently, she wasn't alone in her curiosity - 3 nuns had wandered in to see what all the hoo-ha was about, & sat down right behind her (we saw them later; they seemed to be enjoying themselves, despite the smoky environs). After the show, we asked her what she'd thought of it, primarily in attempt to suss out whether or not she'd spied us up front, shaking our teenage booties & getting shitfaced (she hadn't). Were we ever surprised when she replied, "Well, the music was a bit loud for my taste, but my GOD, Sharon, that was the most BEAUTIFUL bunch of men I've ever seen in my life!" Even ol' Thelma knew a fine, kickin' "hair band" when she saw one. R.I.P. Mom
Sadly,I have never seen this band live.ANGEL....HELUVA BAND !
I saw them with Barry with a DB drum kit and Frank And the guitar player from some hair metal band I forgot the name Barry is awsome
Drummer so under rated so are punkys leads
I'm a drummer and you're absolutely right
Barry's drumming frequently reminds me of Bonham. Really stands out on all of the old records. I'm curious as to what he's doing these days.
And as for Punky: Yeah, I bought his CD, and his leads are more incredible than ever. It's obvious that he still takes his playing seriously.
All of the members of this band are wonderful musicians. I still listen to Angel today. I re-purchased all of the albums on CD of course, but since my turntable is still hooked up and functioning well, the old vinyl is still my preferred method.
@@goopah ... 😆 🤣 😂

WHERE in Vegas was this prestigious event held??!!!
Gotta do a reunion,please
Any one know post it
Gregg looks like Rick wakeman from yes that's who he is influenced by
Look up Frank Zappa "Punkys Whips" 😂
That drummer from Zappa remember his name but he made fun of. Punky for wearing make up then he wore a ton of make up like a ugly women in missing persons
@@chrishellams1755 Terry Bozzio.
punky should have joined Kiss Brandy can play drums
All these people calling for an Angel reunion: People, it won't be the same. These guys are burned out; they aren't the young cool cats that created that extraordinary music in the early 70s. They will never be again. It can NEVER be how you either imagined it, or how you WANT it to be. Those times are gone.
Fuck old age.
Jon, never say never. Please watch this video I'm linking, and you'll see that these guys still have the magic. They still sound incredible!
ruclips.net/video/bpbvHSRwXCk/видео.html
It's Punky, Frank and Gregg performing together recently, and they've still got energy to burn, and it shows. Hell, Punky and Frank recently released solo albums, and they still sound fantastic. Frank's voice has only gotten better with maturity, and Punky's guitar playing seems to be more intricate and dazzling than ever before. Watch a few videos of Frank and Punky's many recent performances together, and you'll see what I mean. I'm 59, so I'm getting old too. But just because we're aging doesn't mean we have to give up hope. The torch still burns bright in every member of Angel, and that flame is one of the many things in life that I hang on to that keeps me interested in staying alive.
@@godwillguideme.3773 Oh wow. Thank you! I had no idea. Pre-ordered already!
Too bad these fella just can't get it together one more time for the 'real' Angel fans... NOT what Frank and Punky have been doing (it's just not Angel)
Eddie, please, for the love of god, GET OFF THE STAGE!
Barry Brant can barley walk, I doubt very much he could ever drum with Angel, obviously Barry & Frank sporting wigs.
what makes you say he can barely walk, since when?
