During COVID, when you were the workers we all depended on, I saw so many stories of workers like you who put up with mean people, but worked long hours so we could get things we needed. So many went out of their way and beyond their job descriptions to make life better for us. Our town is small, few food stores so Dollar General was allowed to stay open since they sell food. Every time I went there, Janet was the only one working and she was under pressure constantly. I would always gather up the shopping carts in the parking lot and take them to the corral at the front of the store to help what little I could, and she was so grateful! She couldn't leave the store to do it herself, and every other customer who walked in complained there were no carts at the cart corral (yeah, dipsh*tz, the carts are all over the lot where you lazy people left them!). In many countries, they do use silage and tmr, or total mixed ration, which is a mix of silage, hay, straw and minerals, which they feed to cows. They at least feed it to cows here in Europe and in North America, and while straw isn't necessary, some farmers do use it. I do know a few farmers who does use TMR to feed their cows, and many farmers uses silage instead of hay. Hay is so rarely used to feed cows in most of Europe and North America, that hay isn't used that much anymore. Hay is more often used to feed sheep and horses
Silage in the UK is just grass cut when it is green, this is piled up in a large space, rolled with a tractor to compress it, and then covered with a sheet and left. The grass ferments and produces silage. It is then used as a winter feed. No other ingredients are used

Samhain and Beltane are the two days of the year when you can - in certain places which are like a doorway - go to the Otherworld to meet up with lost loved ones. But if you don't come back in time, you have to wait the six months until the next opening. The people of the Otherworld can cross over too. There are small differences between the traditions of different parts of the islands, but, AFAIK, this one is found everywhere.
26:57 I knew that the sign on the Oreo cookies had a dark meaning... but now I am having some doubts about whether it's purely coincidental or not.... I hope it is coincidental... because I [STILL] love Oreo cookies........🍪
It doesn't help that Oreos were made as a spite project between two brothers who made competing cracker/biscuit companies. One of those two competing companies was and still is Nabisco. In case you were wondering what Oreos were supposed to compete with, try Googling Hydrox sandwich cookies....
I'm surprised that Be Amazed didn't mention that Oreo _stole_ the idea of the chocolate sandwich cookie from Hydrox, the original! All my life, I thought Hydrox was the knock off because it was cheaper. I really don't think that Masons are an "evil" group, but then my experience with all things Masonic was a very wonderful thing! I wouldn't be here if not for the Masons, because my mother wouldn't have survived the Great Depression without their love and care. Masons are quietly involved in a lot of charity work, they don't call attention to it except to fund raise for worthy causes. My mother's mother died young, in 1932, when my mom was only eleven years old. They were desperately poor, her mother being widowed and biracial meant that she worked long hours for little pay to feed her children. When she died of TB, they had no one... except the Masons. My mom's father was a mason, and his former fellow masons did what they could to help his widow and children, so she and some of her siblings got to go to the Masonic orphanage in Ft. Worth Texas, where Mom got her first pair of shoes, and a dress that wasn't previously a flour sack. They got an excellent education, good food, and they thrived. My mother's younger brother became a "star" football player, running back #33 for the "Mighty Mites" the name of their football team comprised of orphans. She had a scrapbook of newspaper clippings that talked about those orphan boys" who kicked butt all across the South and won championships! They became a "feel-good" story during the Depression, true underdogs who showed everyone what they were made of. Most people in the South during the time knew who the "Mighty Mites" were! Sadly, my mom and her dear brother didn't live long enough to see the movie that was made about the Mighty Mites and their incredible story. It's called "12 Mighty Orphans", and was released in 2021 to an America that was badly in need of a "feel-good" story, but I don't think it did well, in spite of some fine actors, Luke Wilson, Martin Sheen, Treat Williams, Robert Duvall, et al. I haven't seen the movie yet because it's only on Netflix and I refuse to give Cueball Bezos a dime of my money. I know enough of the plot to know that the movie left out what I think was the best part, the sacrifices these boys made immediately after graduation. About nine of them (including my uncle) went to the Marine recruiters and joined together, and they got to stay together in the same platoon. They fought on Iwo Jima, and some lost their lives their. My uncle was badly wounded there, but he spent two days in the water, guarding the body of one of his "brothers" who had been killed. All those "kids" considered their real family to be those children they grew up with. I found a great photo that was taken the day they went to the recruiters and joined to fight for freedom and democracy. They are so young it makes my heart hurt, but I'm also very proud of those "boys" who became heroes. My uncle was a great man, he went to college on the GI Bill and became a high school history teacher, and of COURSE he was also a great football coach who lead his small town high school team to victories. He was also a man of deep faith, and he wrote gospel music for the Stamps Baxter sheet music company. He sang with a gorgeous baritone voice. My mother and her siblings all sang well, because their mother taught them to sing in harmony since they were little. I'd give anything to hear them sing together again! Sorry for the TLDR, I guess I'm all up in my feelings today, I'm grieving the recent death of a dear friend, and missing my family. I think I'll listen to this great gospel song that my uncle sang at my Dad's funeral in 1996, and have myself a good cry. I'm not very religious, but I find comfort in this song: "...The anchor holds Though the ship is battered The anchor holds Though the sails are torn I have fallen on my knees As I faced the raging seas The anchor holds In spite of the storm..."
Some folks CAN'T tolerate blue cheese. They may suffer less severe forms of poisoning. Aversion to taste and smell, headaches, nausea or digestive troubles, joint pain, muscle aches and aggravated arthritis symptoms
In the 1800's Vermont dairy farms had white butter during the winter months due to hay being cow fodder. A few drops of yellow Diamond Dye, a local product, resolved this issue, and butter was as bright as summertime butter.

24:30 my distaste for mushrooms never had anything to do with these "gils". The texture and especially flavors tend to be gross to me, even into my 30s.
I have a couple more. America also still uses formaldehyde as a food preservative, apparently it's somehow not banned under the clean food act. Also, I once got an egg that had an all red yolk. Luckily, it was the first one cracked into the bowl, so it got dumped outside.
Those "fortune cookies" are similar to senbei, cookies served with tea. There are different flavors. My favorite is the pink ones that are frosted with ginger❤
17:01 More-less. Here in Mexico they said, on one side, the worm is used for mask cheep alcohol added into low quality mezcal, but they also said that the Mezcal has almost the same flavor than tequila, so it gives a distinctive touch. Either way, now on days, most mezcal have their worm as a mark of origin, because only mezcal produced in Oaxaca have it.
When the video started with the fake story of the doughnut I was so annoying thinking this was going to be one of "those videos" but thankfully they do share the real reason 😂
The fruit and veggie 8 code is false, sorta. It was intended to identify GMO, but it was abandonned. It now serves to extend the numerical range of codes. "As the adoption of Price Look-Up (PLU) codes gain further traction in the produce industry, the IFPS has committed to transitioning the previously unused prefix '8' to accommodate an increase in varieties of fresh produce items as they enter the market." - IFPSA
Commercial Proprioni bacteria is added to pretty much all 'swiss' cheese. Blue cheese can be innoculated with Penicillium or Geotrychum mould species. The colour of cheese depends on the diet AND the breed of cow. As a child in NE England, we used to carve halloween lanterns from swede turnips (rurabagas). There were no pumpkins.

amonia causes frostbite, not burns, it's cold, not hot. it's like liquid nitrogen almost. when used on meat it probably just boils off for the most part because it really doesn't want to be a liquid.
I don't know but deep frying on a boat doesn't seem like the easiest thing to do, or having hot oil splashing up at you. Then trying to stay up on your feet while trying to mop up the oily mess.

Mousehole is famous because of fishhead pie. Things I thought I’d never hear or repeat!😂 Mmm sawdust and ammonia. I’m getting hungry!😅😢 Fortune cookies are Japanese?!🤯
I looked it up, and I was right. The same mold that makes some blue cheeses, is related the same Penicillin mold used to make the antibiotic. The actual mold for the antibiotic can also be used in cheese as well. Also, there are people who maybe allergic to the Penicllin antibiotic , and the cousins of that mold used to make some blue cheeses.
To a degree it kinda was. The founder of Nabisco was the biological brother of the founder of the company that made Hydrox in the late 19th to early 1940's.... Oreos were mainly a spite project against Hydrox, with Nabisco even going so far to render all their factories kosher certified to eliminate the Hydrox Jewish consumer base remaining.

Up your poison

Every night I'm livin' like there's no tomorrow
Oh-oh, oh-oh
Any way you want me, baby
That's the way you got me, I'll be yours
My story's gonna end with me dead from your poison
I got so good at bein' untrue
I got so good at tellin' you what you wanna hear
I disassociate, disappear
Yeah, yeah, yeah
So far beyond difficult to resist another gulp
Yeah, I know it's poison
You're feedin' me poison
I'm chokin' from the taste and I can't help but swallow
Up your poison
I made my choice and
Every night I'm wasted like there's no tomorrow
Oh-oh, oh-oh
Any way you want me, baby
That's the way you got me, I'll be yours
My story's gonna end with me dead from your poison
Poison, I'm drownin' in poison

Full of poison, I'm sick of the poison

But if you don't come back in time, you have to wait the six months until the next opening. The people of the Otherworld can cross over too.
There are small differences between the traditions of different parts of the islands, but, AFAIK, this one is found everywhere.
I've been a huge fan of your channel since 2018
26:57 I knew that the sign on the Oreo cookies had a dark meaning... but now I am having some doubts about whether it's purely coincidental or not....
I'm not very religious, but I find comfort in this song:
"...The anchor holds
Though the ship is battered
The anchor holds
Though the sails are torn
I have fallen on my knees
As I faced the raging seas
The anchor holds
In spite of the storm..."
amazing channel + amazanig video + amazing comment = 100%
The chips/crisps one is true but they don't need to fill so much of the bag especially not as much as lays does.
be amazed is amazing and i think that everyone should like and subscribe
Some folks CAN'T tolerate blue cheese. They may suffer less severe forms of poisoning. Aversion to taste and smell, headaches, nausea or digestive troubles, joint pain, muscle aches and aggravated arthritis symptoms
Truly appreciate ur work, man
Thank you so much 😀
Wow, this video is so cool. I mean it.
I really love watching these videos because they're so educational, just keep bringing these videos because I love them all 😊❤
Fun fact mar marmite was invented up the road from me in Burton-upon-Trent
Can you make a video about pirates
In the 1800's Vermont dairy farms had white butter during the winter months due to hay being cow fodder. A few drops of yellow Diamond Dye, a local product, resolved this issue, and butter was as bright as summertime butter.
You should make a Australian Crypted and Dreamtime Creature video. Specifically the Yowie and Rainbow snake
I LOVE FISH HEAD PIE
4:33 looks nasty 😷
I swear tho be amazed is the most be of the few channels that are actually entertaining
The snack that smiles back “stargazing pie”
I appreciate your accuracy on Annatto and the orange cheese. I am highly allergic to annatto which makes eating a surprise danger, sometimes.
MY MIND IS BLOWN ABOUT HALLOWEEN DUDE!!
great video!
I actually had an egg with a little blood one time, but since I didn't know that it was still safe at the time I threw it away...
2:58 Why can I taste it just by looking at it 😶
I was drinking a soda when I heard Tom Bawcock, my shirt will never be the same.
😂
Bro u watching and copying me cause same lol
Editor should be aware the audio levels fluctuate notably between the different segments of this video 🙉 This variation of sound is invasive, it effects the viewing experience 😔 Having to continually recalibrate the volume level due to fluctuations in the audio is tedious 😫 Please address this in future edits🤞Much love from Aus 🇦🇺🤠🦘
4:40 I’m eating fish and chips rn
lol
24:30 my distaste for mushrooms never had anything to do with these "gils". The texture and especially flavors tend to be gross to me, even into my 30s.
I'm in my 60s and I feel exactly the same! My motto has always been: I don't do fungus! Lol
11:31 remember that his name is jack
12:26 now I know why there is a name of jack because he's the one that created it
I dont think anyone eats that second one ( stargazy pie ) - im from England and NOBODY eats that .
Stopping bots from reaching the top
I have a couple more. America also still uses formaldehyde as a food preservative, apparently it's somehow not banned under the clean food act. Also, I once got an egg that had an all red yolk. Luckily, it was the first one cracked into the bowl, so it got dumped outside.
White cheese is great to export to Hot countries we don't have that but it's delicious. It's expensive but great.
I don't care if Cheddar is bright orange. It's the best cheese ever! 😍🥰
Those "fortune cookies" are similar to senbei, cookies served with tea. There are different flavors. My favorite is the pink ones that are frosted with ginger❤
All I could say was..... wow!
Aww man, now I'm hungry
A fisherman named Bawcock living in a town named Mousehole, to fish, sell & feed their people fish. . . 😂😂😂
Why the shocked look on my face? Well because I found myself Amazed, yet again.
Now do the biggest foods next!
17:01
More-less.
Now I want Krispy Kream donuts. Raspberry filled.
And I will never eat a fish pie.
I think we now need 2 videos a day❤. Too amazing for just 1.
i think blue cheese might have been discovered to be edible by a dare after the cave cheese got mold
When the video started with the fake story of the doughnut I was so annoying thinking this was going to be one of "those videos" but thankfully they do share the real reason 😂
deep frying while on the high seas seems very daring. or did they hand the oil put on some king of swing so it could go with the rocking of the ship?
Most likely they had a kettle on a hook type setup. As long as the seas were relatively calm, it would work.
Don't ever change your outtro the click is a finite sound and I always wait for it. )
Your videos never fails to put a smile on my face tysm..much love❤❤❤
I love all types of cheese but I especially like those plastic looking orange cheese slices 🤷🏻♀️
Bad for health
Commercial Proprioni bacteria is added to pretty much all 'swiss' cheese. Blue cheese can be innoculated with Penicillium or Geotrychum mould species. The colour of cheese depends on the diet AND the breed of cow. As a child in NE England, we used to carve halloween lanterns from swede turnips (rurabagas). There were no pumpkins.
We're here for the air explanation 😂
that's why, whenever I eat a Syrian traditional dish like Falafel, I look for Falafel with a hole in the middle, much better cooked.
that glow up since 2018 was nice
Bring back summer and winter cheese
OK. If winter cheese is white and summer cheese is yellow, does that mean that autumn cheese is brown?
If so, what colour is spring cheese? Green?
Frankensteaks!!!! LOL!!!!! That's a good one!!!!
I live in the UK [not in England], & I've never heard of that pie before not even on multiple visits, granted I never went to Mousehole, but I thought it would probably be available at some places now I've heard about it, plus even in the air packaging I've still come across stale crisps [or Potato chip in America] which has actually put me off buying a particular brand when I got 2 of them in a packet
A friend of mine lived in Israel for quite some time. She said it was so weird to find white cheddar cheese. One of her sons would not eat it being white like that.
amonia causes frostbite, not burns, it's cold, not hot. it's like liquid nitrogen almost. when used on meat it probably just boils off for the most part because it really doesn't want to be a liquid.
My mom is making biscuits…. I don’t wanna eat em’
Your jokes are amazing
I don't know but deep frying on a boat doesn't seem like the easiest thing to do, or having hot oil splashing up at you. Then trying to stay up on your feet while trying to mop up the oily mess.
I kid you not I went into a herbal store that's about 45 minutes away and they sell dried crush cordyceps... yes you are seeing what I typed the fungus from The Last of Us. 😂😂😮😮
Maggot cheese has to be on here
In Italy
@@HerrKurt yes do you like it lol
Imagine a sandwich with maggot cheese and Limburger cheese 🤢
Truly the most repulsive "delicacy" I've ever heard of. And no surprise it's illegal to sell here or import.. Just the description makes one heave!
I am amazed.
Absinthe. The wormwood and thujone. Enough said. Lol
Scary foods
I see you are subbed to Drew Durnil. I respect that
It's funny how many people are scared of basic harmless ingredients.
I like mushrooms, gems, planets, and geography
For a second I thought he said it’s pretty common for an alcoholic to be decorated with an olive or a tiny umbrella 😂😂😂😂
Mousehole is famous because of fishhead pie. Things I thought I’d never hear or repeat!😂
Mmm sawdust and ammonia. I’m getting hungry!😅😢
Fortune cookies are Japanese?!🤯
I looked it up, and I was right. The same mold that makes some blue cheeses, is related the same Penicillin mold used to make the antibiotic. The actual mold for the antibiotic can also be used in cheese as well. Also, there are people who maybe allergic to the Penicllin antibiotic , and the cousins of that mold used to make some blue cheeses.
And the mold extract that makes the Penicillin antibiotic works, by messing with the cell walls of bacteria, making them die.
That's how it treats bacterial infections in humans.
I really thought that Oreo’s was a copy of the Hydrox cookie
To a degree it kinda was. The founder of Nabisco was the biological brother of the founder of the company that made Hydrox in the late 19th to early 1940's.... Oreos were mainly a spite project against Hydrox, with Nabisco even going so far to render all their factories kosher certified to eliminate the Hydrox Jewish consumer base remaining.
Your content is super Intertaining 😀
You, sir, are the maestro of weird shit. Thank you
Thanks Be Amazed this video made me hungry, especially for cheese, my one true weakness... if I were a superheroine vermont sharp cheddar would be my kryptonite
theres possibly an esoteric reason why its "jack" in the leagoned, a "jack" is a slave. and can be found more proufoundly in the golden web videos as well as other works by chrion last.
Happy 😊
😊
THANK YOU so much for not running at crazy speeds so that I can actually follow what you say. How refreshing ❤❤
