This is by far one of the most depressing and creepy episodes...but a personal fave 😮

No doubt one of the scariest tales from the Radio Mystery Theater. Used to send a chill down my spine when I was a little younger. It may be a different plot, but it definitely gives me some Rosemary's Baby vibes...

So is the cat "Smoky" helping the young couple by showing them the closet's contents, or did it just want to mess with the closet's contents? (One of my brats is named "Smoky", too.)

The only cat I ever had was named Matilda but I didn't name her; she was someone else''s cat but she CHOSE me and I wound up with her ready or not! She was half Siamese or maybe three-quarters and one day she started jumping on my shoulders and riding around up there. If I ever have cats again I'll name them Rex and Spot.
Maybe I just wasn't in the right mood for this play but I turned it off, after 32 minutes, even though there was only 10 minutes to go.
Just didn't like it at all and when it got the 32 minutes mark, I couldn't take any more. This is the first time that I've ever had this happen. I usually love these radio plays. There was just something irritating about the play. It was as if they'd taken "Rosemary's Baby" and just altered one or two things.

I'm ok with the premise that they rented an apartment from the devil but they did it innocently without knowing who the landlord really was. I'm ok with the further premise that their diabolical landlord murdered them by supernatural means. But it's not plausible that he got their souls; there's nothing in Christian mythology that suggests anybody goes to hell for renting an apartment.
