This theme song is still the greatest of all time IMO. It means so much to me, listening to it. I grew up on this heroic tale. It will sound weird, but I'd want this song played at my funeral.
Totally!!! I bought my stepson a book on the top films of the 80's - he's a 90's kid with a 70's kids tastes. Great book and I was loving it until I got to a line that irked me so much I've been moaning about it ever since, 'The 80's was a terrible decade for fantasy movies'. Ever feel like you're literally not on the same planet as some people? The 80's was THE decade for fantasy films. All you've stated already, Never Ending Story, Clash of the Titans. Spoilt rotten we were!! :D
@@sarahblake6942 Personal fave will always be Conan the Barbarian. So much more going on there than just a typical S&S film, and if I wanted to I could write a fricken' book about it. Arguably, imo the peak effort of the genre and a cinematic masterwork all on its own.

Not weird at all. I grew up on this movie also. This music is very nostalgic for me. Brings back my childhood.
Beastmaster theme and Raiders of the Lost Ark, those are the two I want played at mine. :D
