This is a seriously magnificent score. I'd wager a guess that if it were associated with more conventionally popular movies like LOTR and/or/ GoT that it would be celebrated as a magnificent score. But I think, ironically, that's the point behind Conan. It's like Conan says: "Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to hell with you!" Stride steadfast towards your goals. Don't let anyone put you down.

A riddle of steel: "who told the blacksmith to form a blade ?" (i.e. what gave him the idea ? Not like a bolt of lighting striking a tree, inspiring the "Quest for Fire." Someone wanted a blade. but who ? ). Great track by the legendary Basil Poledouris. Thank you for sharing. thumbs up .
Incredible soundtrack. Arnold isn't much of an actor, but he has had some really badass roles. I love the brass horns being so flashy, feels like swords flashing in the hot sun and blood spilling. The percussion sounds so ancient. The strings sound like Valkyrie dancing on clouds, reminding him of hope. And the Chorus (best part imo) sounds like Conan's ancestors making songs glorifying his triumph of will, his volition, they seem pleased in how much he is fighting against the world. Awesome arrangement!!!
I can't believe it. All this time I have been searching for the track that played in the E3 trailer of the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D... And here it is... *Sheds manly tears.* ... Now I must work out to this music along Gonna Fly Now.

Music fit for a thief, a pirate, a reaver, a slayer, a champion
No one will ever crescendo to such epic proportions as did this master of the gong. Whoever they were, wherever they are, they’re legend has been burned into the annals of music for all time.
This is real music for a real epic movie!

“Fire and wind came from the sky... From the Gods of the Sky. But Crom is your god! Crom, and he lives in the earth. Once giants lived on the earth, Conan. And they took from Crom the secret of steel. Crom was angered! And the Earth shook. And Crom soon fought the giants and threw their bodies into the waters. But in their rage... The Gods had forgotten the secret of steel and left it on the battlefield. And who found it? It was men. Not Gods, not giants... Just men.
The secret of steel has always carried with it a mystery. You must learn it's discipline, Conan. For no one can you trust; not men, not women, not beasts... This you can trust.
Greatest movie ever made and the great film score ever made.
When the song changes at 3:33 I have an undying urge to gather an army and just fight
yes with a gladiator mentality.
Dilly Dilly
Fuck Yeah!!!
And my axe! 🪓
And my bow
Fire and wind come from the sky, from the gods of the sky, but Crom is your god. Crom, and he lives in the earth. Once giants lived in the earth, Conan, and in the darkness of chaos they fooled Crom, and they took from him the enigma of steel. Crom was angered, and the earth shook, and fire and wind struck down these giants, and they threw their bodies into the waters. But in their rage, the gods forgot the secret of steel, and left it on the battlefield. We, who found it, we are just men: not gods, not giants, just men. And the secret of steel has always carried with it a mystery. You must learn its riddle, Conan, you must learn its discipline !!! For no one, no one in this world can you trust. Not men, not women, not beasts... This you can trust !!!
+cubastio I remember being mesmerized listening to this monologue. Ahhh, good times.
Epic epic what a symphony!!!
I love how the song transitions from peaceful to ominous in such a subtle way.
Crunches and sit ups have never been this fun until I listen to the intense part while doing them.
Makes them easier.
2:27 absolutely epic
"3:36" pure adrenaline rush!!!
What a Score.. inseparable this Film/Music
4k foot just north of Mt Shasta it's not 15 degrees
The fires been going for months now.
Survived 2 years with handsaw and axe
Everyday I say thank you and try my best to learn from what's shown. 116 in the summer and balls cold for the rest.. I am Alive I feel it
When i listen to Conan film Soundtracks i remember each part where each music was played.
Quite literally so good; I replayed it the instant it ended. This kind of music is more than food for the soul; it is BANQUET IN HONOUR KHROM!
I grew up at the right time. This music speaks to my soul!
There will never be another film that comes this close to capturing the true essence of the Conan legend. Wish they could have made a trilogy with the same level of intensity as the original.
This entire soundtrack is just epic.
4:48 gives me the chills
These years of the 80s grab my heart and soul I'd my breathe because I felt hope back then
A riddle of steel: "who told the blacksmith to form a blade ?" (i.e. what gave him the idea ? Not like a bolt of lighting striking a tree, inspiring the "Quest for Fire." Someone wanted a blade. but who ? ). Great track by the legendary Basil Poledouris. Thank you for sharing. thumbs up .
May Crom smite the remastered versions doing the rounds this site. Thanks for the epic upload of the original and the best.
3:33 THE BEST!!!
Damn, how many years have passed since I`ve watched this movie as a kid via old cassette...Still one of my favorites.
WILLIST THOU GET THE GIRL?
OR PLAY LIKE ONE?
both
Play like Red Sonja, if so ... but not the shitty movie version, of course ^^
Quoted the lamest line from something awesome...
@Kyros Droztamyr Crom laughs at his testosterone levels!
100th like!
If I'm ever going to make a badass entrance, I'm gonna use 2:53 as my music.
Un capolavoro di estrema bellezza 👍🙏
I can't believe it. All this time I have been searching for the track that played in the E3 trailer of the Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D... And here it is... *Sheds manly tears.* ... Now I must work out to this music along Gonna Fly Now.
Magnífico! Basil Poledouris é um verdadeiro artista! 👏
It feels like nowadays they'll just make one theme for a movie and find a bunch of different ways to drag that theme out in every song.
Where as this song feels iconic for different ways in different parts.
That's a leitmottif tho, and has been used in scores since centuries ago
@@erickcastaneda9589 True but it's being abused in modern Hollywood soundtracks, there was a tonne more variety in old scores, it's comparable to how so many bands stick to one lane in genre due to Spotify playlists, it reflects a wider malaise of artistic conservatism and homogeneity.
Une musique qui fait vibrer l’ame elle même !
The world needs King Conan!!!!! CROM!!!!!!
so true !!!!
This film had one of the greatest soundtracks ever made.
Writing code seems so epic with this music. \OoO/

You Sir are a God. Thank you for this wonderful music that I have enjoyed throughout my life.
The greatest masterpiece in cinema history!
I get chills ever time I hear the music from Conan it Will get you excited
Basil Poledouris was a genius. The world is lesser after his passing.
I just came here because I was curious about where the music from the 2003 E3 Twilight Princess trailer was from.
I have never seen Conan the Barbarian but DEAR do I want to now
Thank you Mister Basil 🙌
So merciful was crom, that for a moment, he smiled down upon a lowly barbarian and blessed him with the destiny of destinies.
I love cranking this up during my day. I've been battling a stupid large White Oak stump in the yard, and I listen to this before I prepare for 'battle'.
4:25 The song that plays after you finish your last college final knowing you graduated.
Hallelujah!! Perfect way to describe that feeling!
I can't get over how awesome this masterpiece is!!!
THIS SOUNDTRACK IS BEST IN LIFE
