no, not in a trans way, even if i am trans, but that’s not what i’m talking about today.
alright, so i have to give a bit of background, even if i already have dedicated an entry to this, i feel like it’d be nice to give you guys a refresher. oh, and also, none of this is rational. it has no basis in science or what is actually meant to happen to me, rather it’s an observation i’ve made based on how i interpret my state of being. so if i sound insane at any point, i may be, but i’m not a liar. and i’m also not a plural system if you’re wondering.
my name is Vi. though, “my” is a loose term. in reality, there are 2 Vis. there’s what i call “outer Vi”, the apparent one who talks and is writing right now, and “inner Vi”, who processes my emotions and my state of mind. like my brain and heart! i’m in control of outer Vi, and that’s the one that shows basically 99% of the time. i know i sound like a crazy person, just bear with me. i’m not in control of inner Vi however, but outer Vi does influence her. the reason i’m split this way is because i at one point i started using positive self-talk as a way to better myself, and i started humanizing my soul so much that this inner Vi subconciously formed. now, i’d say the best way to put it is that i, Vi, am the link between both of these entities. that’s what i see myself as. a bridge between my mind and soul. so let me ask you this- why the hell do i even need this body?
it seems like a silly question. i need this body because i’m a Homo Sapiens! if i didn’t have it, i wouldn’t exist. haha, you got me, silly me. but i’m a very progressive person. i think that people should be able to do whatever they want with themselves and we should respect that. like, the people who say they’re dogs and live as dogs and people hate them and such. i think they are still humans, who undeniably have a human body, but if they find that rejecting that and living as a dog -whatever that may mean- makes them happy, then i will respect their choice and address them as such. they’re not actually dogs, but i think we should allow them to be happy as long as they’re not being bad. for me, it’s the same thing, but in the opposite direction. i don’t claim this body. i find that it’s the only truly valueless thing in the world, and i get easily sentimental. again, i am the link between inner & outer Vi, to simplify. and this body doesn’t add anything to that. it doesn’t hold any memories or feelings. it goes against my idea of myself. it’s built about as well as a slice of moist bread. what’s probably worst is that i can’t change my body. i can modify it, but i’m doomed to be confined to this vessel. and it’s not like i really want to swap it out for another one, because no part of my self can be found within any body. i want to be set free. but alas, i do want to stay alive, and it seems like my mortality is also bound to it.
i’m Vi. Vi to me is an abstraction. my idea of who Vi is doesn’t include a physical form. i’m a collection of experiences, emotions, and will. but to everybody else, i am and will always be perceived, unavoidably, as my body rather than who i actually am- my soul.
and i wonder why people call me slurs jeez
