Dude, Eliud Kipchoge may be the best marathoner of all time but you are the best narrator of a documentary ever! I don't know how many times I have watched this video just because of your soothing voice and narration skills!

Kipchoge is my inspiration! Started running again 2 years back with a struggle to even complete 1.6km and 2 years down, I have hit 10km in under 60mins personal best and 12km longest distance covered. Aiming to cover half-marathon in 2019 and full marathon in 2020! Dreams are what pushes us!!!

Fact is that this man has such a powerful mindset that he is mentally unbeatable. I believe his mind is his greatest asset and it's that which gives him the edge he has over his rivals.

What an awesome video. So much detail put into it. Really great to see Kipchoge's early videos on XC and track, and then how we switched smoothly to road racing where he has become a GOAT at the marathon distance. It is very clear; he always had the talent and the speed to perform at the highest level, but more importantly he has put a very hard, honest and humble work over the years that have made him become what is today. Physically he is insane, but his mental approach to life and this discipline is just unbelievable.

This was a very well put together video with a professional quality. Very informative and went above and beyond. Eliud Kipchoge is AMAZING. The Breaking 2 Hour project seemed kind of silly but it proved how impressive his world record was because it showed how close he was in a real marathon. His times in other marathons are amazing too.

Your only limitation is your mind! The Bible says that as a man thinks so is he. Putting work to your thoughts and convictions definitely earns great rewards. I`m a proud country man of Eliud Kipchoge. He does himself proud and our country proud and the athletic world proud as well. This man is the GOAT.
This is such a wonderfl presentation and very positive. Kept me engaged throughout. Keep up the good work.

No stress fractures, muscle tears, ligament tears, or heat exhaustion; NOTHING!!😃Does anyone know anything about his health history? It's just AMAZING! Does anyone remember when Khalid Khanouchi broke 2:06 ? It's incredible how far these elite marathoners have come! May the good Lord continue to grant Mr.Kipchoge success in his running endeavors! What an AMAZING athlete!

Fantastic job presenting Eliud's march to fame.
One technical point: near the end, the chart with his 5K splits for Berlin record are way off. In fact, the average 5K was 14:25, but chart numbers yield 14:30; a difference of over 40 seconds over 26.2 miles! The narrator also quotes at least two different splits times different than those listed in the chart.

Whether the Monza course is recognized or not,it's important to remember it was a FULL marathon and Kipchoge ran the whole course. A full marathon which he clocked 2.00.45. Pacers have never ran on behalf of someone,, it is just a psychological gimmick,..the athlete still puts in the work...
Of note , in Berlin 2018,he ran faster without pacers than with pacers .And that,in the secold half of the marathon.
So no need to take from his achievement by giving all sorts of invalid reasons from the so-called 'experts' who have never finished a marathon.

I feel like a sub 2:00 is inevitable for this guy. He ran well, and even ran generally faster in his second half than his first. Also, the fact that he didn't collapse after running like most distance runners I've seen tells me that he had more gas left, and that he may have been hindered by the pacers in the starting parts of the race.

I would imagine if I had trained for awhile I could have maybe whittled that down to 5 minutes but it's hard to fathom somebody running 4:38 miles for a full marathon. Because many of you don't know a landmark planet event will happen on Saturday or anytime before 20th, it falls on me to tell you.
Eliud Kipchoge left the country today for Vienna, Austria to take part in what has never been attempted before. The INEOS 1:59 challenge. For starters, Vienna is the city that popularized great composers like Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig Van Beethoven among others. The gods of music worshipped to this day. If you love classical music like me, the orchestra and the symphonies. Vienna is the world capital of classical music.
Permit me to tell you early that while me and you always sing the National Anthem for other people, Eliud Kipchoge is among the very few Kenyans to whom the National Anthem is sung. The others are President Uhuru Kenyatta and our athletes (l mean also footballers). Tell me another. The list probably ends there.
Eliud Kipchoge is the greatest marathoner of all time and the reigning world record holder. The organizers of INEOS 1:59 overriding motto is that no human is limited or should be limited and they scanned the globe and settled on Eliud Kipchoge as probably the only two legged animal alive who can achieve the feat of running a marathon in 1 hour 59 minutes and prove that mantra. Eliud Kipchoge had already achieved 2:00: 25, which means humanity is only 26 seconds away to attempt the impossible. He is being delivered to remove these 26 and claim world glory and sports sainthood.
After settling on Kipchoge as the only man to attempt this, the organizers again scanned the globe looking for the best country to host him. London was ruled out, Kenya ruled out, USA ruled out. Germany ruled out. France ruled out. Several ruled out. Then they settled on the boiling pot of classical music, Vienna. For a number of reasons.
If he manages to achieve this on Saturday (or before 20th), it will be like we have taken a man to the moon. Because no man, and no nation has ever attempted that feat ever since creation. And maybe, like the passing of the comet, nobody in our lifetime will see another man do this again.
This event has been sponsored by the world's foremost money powerhouses and if Eliud Kipchoge manages to prove this, money will kill him. They are not evening saying how much. Because maybe, just maybe, you could kill him.
That's why this evening they picked Kipchoge from here in a way he has never left Kenya before. In a luxury private jet where a legend will be pampered like a King on his way to a coronation as he is delivered in absolute comfort to Vienna, the honeypot of music, culture, art, sport, beauty and love.
Watched by billions across the globe, Eliud Kipchoge will run assisted by pacesetters to claim global glory.
Then we can find what better use to do with Eliud Kipchoge. Because he will become so valuable to humanity that we may need to kill him, so as to worship him. For we cannot worship a man who walks amongst us.🤔

I love when they talk about the temps at these big marathons, from where I am in Florida half the year ur lucky if u get ur run in while it's in the 80s and other than that most of the time the real feel is 100+ and if uve felt the Florida sun ud understand

The temperature for the marathon is super important. Just a few degrees can be very significant as the heat can drain the body so quickly. Also, I live in Georgia, so I know about some heat and humidity, not as much as Florida Im sure, but still, it can get pretty hot here. Thanks for watching!

The Berlin Marathon is often used for WR attempts because it’s flat and usually has cool weather.

Yes, and yet these elite marathoners come from cool climate all year round with no humidity due to very high altitude with uneven terrain within the tropics, perfect for conditioning any time of the year.
