Just completed my upgrades to my home theater. Now running the RZ50 and the complete suite of Polk Serves (R400; R700 & R900s) 350w/channel to all channels from my legacy Adcoms. Dirac calibration completed and it is all simply stellar. Gaming on the PS4Pro is pretty amazing too. You have a nice channel.
I Just bought a Onkyo NR-TX7100 and a full 5 peice set of Martin Logan Foundation with 2 F1 towers, A C1 center channel, And two B1 bookshelves for rear surrounds along with a 10" Monoprice subwoofer. I also bought a nice wood slat case that will fit all of this into neatly. I run a LG 4k blu ray player and a panamax power conditioner along with my 65" TCL mini LCD seroes 6 i bought earlier this year and i love it. cant wait to hook this all up and get a taste of what my new system can do!

Great choice! I have the full compliment of Monitor Audio Silver towers, center, height and surrounds too. And I just upgraded to the Onkyo RZ50 as well. Your setup and Dirac videos really helped me a lot! Thanks for that. My home theater system now sounds better than I could have hoped for.

I just bought5 the RZ50, My speaker setup is 7.2 Polk Signature Series. 2 es60 Tower Speakers , 4 es20 Bookshelf Speakers, 1 es35 center, 1 hts 12 sub, 1 Pinnacle cs88 sub. Looking forward to setting up DIRAC and being amazed. Had to order RZ50 from BestBuy and its coming from Pennsylvania tomorrow. (Texas)
@@SamDansCouch Can you believe the Dirac servers are down? called Onkyo support and they have no idea when the severs go back online. Until the i used the other calibration and it sounds great. Cant believe it will get better.
Good video, I have the same avr and it's great, it replaced a 6 year old RZ series Onkyo. I have ceiling speakers on order and will eventually get an external amp to get 7.2.4. I also game on ps5 and although it doesn't support Dolby Atmos you can still utilize the height channels by selecting the DTS:Nueral X sound mode. It does a great job upmixing. It's also a good sound mode for tv and movies that don't offer atmos or DTS:X HD MA

Sony did plan to make their own surround sound that they use for headphones - compatible with av surround sound systems too. But so far no news yet. Cool you are getting ceiling speakers. I was thinking of the RZ50 with KEF Q950s, Q650c, Q150s and a SVS PB-1000 then eventually add in ceiling atmos speakers in the future. Why didn't you opt for the Monitor Audio Bronze 500s?
Hello 👋 That sounds like an awesome setup. KEFs are really popular right now. I didn’t need the bigger bronze series since my room isn’t that big and with the help of the svs I got already a lot of depth. I’m really happy with how everything sounds and you can’t go wrong with the RZ50. I still love it like the first day I got it 😊
Really enjoyed your video! I’ve just upgraded to an RZ70 & 4 x C265-IDC for ceiling speakers, for use with my existing Apex speakers. I’m yet to set everything up but I imagine I’ll be upgrading to the latest Silver series to complete the setup… a very pricey investment but I’ve worked hard to get here. May I ask, what speakers have you installed in your ceiling? If they’re not Monitor Audios, how do they sound & mix with your Bronze speakers… any issues with tonal differences? It was such a big difference going to the Monitor Audio speakers for me. For my ceiling speakers I actually used speakers that I already had - that came with the house I lived in. They are Sonance in ceiling speakers Tr2000. They are not super high end but for the ceiling effect channels they are doing a good job, especially with the help of my sub. They fit well into my MA setup.
i suggest u to try bluray movie instead of apple TV quality, the difference is massive. Much more detail in the back and top. Not so much in a picture quality.
You should consider moving your center channel as far forward as you can do that you aren’t creat find reflections off the hard surfaces in front of and to the sides above and below the center channel. You’ll get much better sound out of it.
Hi Kligore, thank you for your tip! As my center sits that’s as far as it goes forward, since a hinge is ontop for the cabinet doors. It’s not perfect. Better would probably be to even have it on top of my cabinet but that’s not an option right now. Optimization never stops 😊
Hello Houndog! 👋 You have to physically wire them. I put down cable channels to hide the wiring. There are 3rd party add ons to make any surround speakers wireless though. If you check on Amazon and look for “wireless speaker kit” you can find some options.
If you liked that the fronts and rears sounded the same , why not buy a 5th one for the center channel ? Because lets be honest the C150 and Bronze 100 don’t sound the same.
Hi Oskar, having the same speakers around you makes a big difference. Also on point when listening to special audio music, which in most cases even ignores the center channel. A fifth one would definitely be nice, problem is just they are only sold in pairs and the speaker itself is very big compared to the C150 which just about slides into my space. With DIRAC LIVE I was able to tune the speakers very well including the C150 which sound clear and present in my setup right now even for dialogue. You could think about getting the Silver center what some people recommend but for now Im pretty happy with my setup. As with every audio setup, there is always room for improvement 😄
Hi Milo 👋 I’ve had no issues. This is my second Onkyo receiver, the first one I owned for five years and my RZ50 now for two years and no issues with daily use. Very reliable 👍

I had speakers where high hats would become high pitch “tss tss”. Not the case with my setup. Even before applying Dirac Live, the MA sounded nice. Dirac Live rounds the complete picture up though. I enjoy how present the speakers are.

How do the rear speakers connect to the av receiver? Does it have to be wired or is it possible to connect wireless
