Guide still works. I’ve heard some people say Germany doesn’t help as much in the Italy war since previous updates, but I’ve found the exact opposite.
Are you still able to cheese the naval invasion of Italy? It doesn't look like it's possible anymore.
@@coltonbuck8647 It's possible I just tested it. You hit the naval invasion button, declare on Albania, wait one day, and your troops will be off.

Actually you don't even need to Naval Invade Italy, you can just move your troops to their lands through port once you have military access, just place them around the places they are not currently sitting on and you can immedietly pin or attack.
I mean, this was made in BBA where it was really easy to Order 66 Italy if you really want to cheese it. However in AAT/ToA you can't lol
macau my day could be interesting. everyone says its the hardest achievement but its not much harder than 90% of the other achievements where you have naval invade the UK as a minor.
I’m actually editing that right now! It used to be really hard pre bba, but now it’s really easy. That claim fleet feature in peace deals is amazing.
my germany was dumb af, he lost about 50 division to italy and needed romania, hungary and bulgaria to break through, then there was soviet-allies war and then germany declared on both, usa somehow managed to join the war too, so very slow defeat came after☠️
That’s a nightmare but sounds like a 10/10 hoi4 experience even though things didn’t go your way.

That’s all the research I did the whole game, not just in 1936. Imagine how OP it’d be to get 1940 guns in 1936 tho.

I can’t get my naval invasion of the UK to fire. I can’t get my ships passed Gibraltar
Did you take Gibraltar first thing or move your fleet out of the Mediterranean before the war with the UK?
I can invade UK but I cant cap tiles. Uk defense himself too fast. After it circle my units and gg. What can I do for it? I'm using 24, 24 width inf. And 24, 18 width inf.@@thetibbiesshow
When I invade Italy, there are like 3 divisions on each tile, and my troops get instantly obliterated. What am I doing wrong?

For the life of me, I cannot seem to get naval supremacy over the UK. I have 91 boats and 22% air superiority, and It's still at like a good 30-70% in favor of the UK.
Do you have any tips / tricks for me to actually get the naval invasion to fire? I've noticed that the AI on avalanche doesn't seem to remove their navy from a sea even for a split second
(This was all done on avalanche btw) update i managed to do the achievement by reforming the strat a little.
I did the whole italian invasion of '37. Once that was done i used the cheese strat to just farm turkish troops and easily cap them. Joined the axis back and took out the UK with paratroopers (real difficult since there is no battle for north africa so UK has all its troops home. Puppeted romania took a little balkan states and puppeted north india (i was poor after germany decided to not give up romania easily in the treaty) Jumped USSR with germany as per usual. They had me crying in 1958 trying to cap the USSR. Managed to do it and got the achievement 👍
So the Italy just capitulated without creating the puppet state - never seen it happen before but here I am. I just have no way of guarding the coastline with Greek manpower alone... sigh... to the next attempt I suppose.

Try the North Sea to East Yorkshire. If you own the Suez and/or Gibraltar, the Italian navy might help give you naval supremacy. Also, move your fighters into north Germany/Holland and use them to naval bomb/gain air supremacy over the UK. Lastly, use spy’s to get 100% intel over the UK and infiltrate their navy. With all of that, you should get naval supremacy eventually.
My Germany got over 1.5 mill in casualties to Italy and never made it past the alps. I had to do everything and the peace conference I got nothing

@ryanames4879 you’re maybe the 3rd or 4th person to have the same Germany dying in the alps issue. It’s probably something with the current patch so I’d revert. I’ll be updating all my old guides in the coming month to bring them up to speed, but for now I’d just revert.

Bro, how did the Italians practically ignore you and put up no fight vs you or Germany? My war took a FULL YEAR LONGER, with the Italians throwing a massive army at us. Over a million casualties from them?!
Not sure what you’re doing wrong, because it shouldn’t be difficult at all. Push when you can strategically, not just field marshal assaults. When you cant push, just hold. The Germans will do most of the fighting, all you really have to do is hold once you land. Having spies on Italy can also help a ton.
The Italians didn’t ignore me, they sent so many units that I couldn’t push towards Rome, it wasn’t until the Germans broke through their lines that Italy moved units away from the front lines with me. Once that happened, then I could push again.
I'll give it another try. It took all that time for the Germans to break free. BUT the strategy where you keep units in Italy instead of naval invading worked, so I'm gonna see if I can continue to find a way to work that angle.@@thetibbiesshow
@@redoctober67 when By Blood Alone first came out, it took me a few times to get it right, but once you do it once, you’ll know exactly how to land in Italy and you’ll do it whenever you play fascist Greece. It’s my go to strat when forming Byz or Macedonia.
So I got the subscription so I can test it out with BBA, and the Italian Army seemed VERY different than when I first commented. Also, I tried the stationing units in Italy technique, and that worked like a charm. Lastly, I switched to a VERY aggressive plan of attack, using Force Attack as much as reasonably possible, and was able to push to Rome and take just about everything needed and more. I do think the DLC alters how Italy will do.@@thetibbiesshow
HOWEVER, as I progress into mid-1940, Soviet Union always justifies on me, declares war, and opens that front. British magically keep their fleets parked in the route where a naval invasion should easily go. I utterly hate the AI in this game.
@@thetibbiesshow alright, finally got it with the guide. The key is to honestly make a pre-war restore point. It seems totally random if the UK moves its fleet away. If your invasion doesn’t go off by June-July, reload your save. As long as the invasion goes off, you’ll finish your war before the Soviets can finish justifying on you. Then, puppet Romania (without Besserabia so you can create a German buffer), and the Soviets will leave you alone and not activate their war goal since you no longer have a land border. Germany and the Soviets will likely do their thing, leaving you free to mop up Vichy at your own pace. Then when you’re ready, you can do Horror and Fear to take on Turkey and the Soviets. Naval invading the crap out of Turkey makes it a lot easier.
Got the achievement as soon as the peace deal was done (after I created Byzantium. The game only checks for a minimum of one puppet’ed state, so you can fight with Germany in the peace deal for as much of the Soviet Union as you like so long as you get Turkey for sure.
Be warned though you’ll constantly have to fight your Italian puppet since they’ll get a ton of autonomy from you using their divisions. I had to knock them down from Dominion several times!
I didnt have the option to take any navy, I also do have BBA active. did I just get unlucky or smth?
One of three things happened.
1: you got super unlucky and the enemies navy got sunk. This is super unlikely but can happen.
2: if it was Italys navy, the navy might’ve gone to the puppet instead.
3: If it’s every single countries navies like the uk and France, your game is bugged and something is super wrong.
@@thetibbiesshow the 2nd one probably happened, cause Italy still had a navy as my puppet. is there a way for me to more than certainly get their navy or just leave it up to chance?
@bismarck09 unfortunately it’s just luck of the draw. You could try puppet annexing them, or you can always call them into your war with Spain/vichy and they should help you get navel supremacy with their navy.
Damn, Ill probably just hope and pray I get their navy but if I dont get it Ill try those methods to see if they help. Great guide btw, really easy to follow.@@thetibbiesshow

Mostly just Ironman compatible mods tbh, but I’m a big fan of new ways, KR, MD. Maybe I’ll do a couple videos on modded hoi4. Do you have any recommendations for mods I should try?

If you plan a naval invasion for an allied OR neutral country you have military access to, you can launch that invasion. As long as the troops don’t land BEFORE the war is declared, the invasion will continue.
