Some new notes from comment suggestions for anyone trying this strategy: Just simply don't do the request for Syria...it's possible that was the reason the Japanese troops disappeared since it automatically shuffles troops when the border conflict happens. Instead, do the focuses to puppet Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan, but kick Iraq from the faction so that they will not be puppeted so we can manually attack them later. P.S. Idea for your videos since I follow a lot of them; can you annotate which version/patch of the game you're using for achievements, especially older ones? I've noted that for some guides it is VERY important to roll the game back to a version that matches as close as possible to follow a strategy. Easy way to do this is just show the main menu screen before loading in the game.
I've been wanting to return to hoi4 but didn't have a solid reason and lately achievement runs have been feeling a bit painful. Then the chaddest spider drops this video and I'm like "now I gotta try it" LMAO
I thought this run was fun! Although I must admit I got pretty pissed at the syrian border conflict and the 80 Japanese divisions mysteriously disappearing lol Hopefully you guys trying this won't run into those issues
@@hatless_spider The border conflict is a Free France mechanic. Too bad the game doesnt check who owns the provinces before triggering the border conflict.
I actually did do that, it helped shave off a bit of time. I basically just messed up a lot of different timings. I think this run cpuld have been completed with all cores and the requirements for HAS by late 41 or 42 if I had managed things better
i remember this horrible achievment. the focus tree is bad, you only try to build up your country in the first 3-4 years and can do nothing, you change your leader 5 times and have to time a lot of stuff. just horrible painfull but somehow fun
5:54 Keçi is pronounced as "Kechi" not "Keci". They are actually a parody of "Koç Holding". They were so promonent in Turkish economy that islamic fundemantalists declared them "Jewish" and tried to boycot them. They were probably the first semi-monopoly in Turkey.
The Ottoman Achievement was hell, i did ih through abusing the Kurds for a ton of pp and a lot of savescumming abd retrying. Glad i managed it on my own but nice that you made a guide.
It's a bit of a waste, but I always go with grand battleplan initially to get terrain, which gives you a 50% chance of spawning generals with brilliant strategist or inflexible
I saw the older video 2 days ago and i played too many hours to get every step right since then. I tried like 2 hours to get blessed by rng and not get cap by kurdistan and then the pain of turkey moving an unit instantly on the border when declaring war on them getting me trapped. Anyways amazing videos gonna watch this one now. Thx for helping us
Some monopolies are actually more efficient than having competitors. For example, if the mathematical formula means higher production always lead to a lowered production cost, a single company with close to full control over the the supply line can in theory be more productive than a market with competitors. An example is the Danish milk market where a very big company (Arla) stands for 85-95% of milk production and if they start to increase prices for consumers competitors will be able to enter the market (rest of EU).
That border conflicts in Syria, Britain has decision to do that and do it probably everytime on historical. Or something like this, I am not sure exactly, cause I never play historical allies.
free france can do border conflicts to get land back from vichy france, normally vichy gets syria so I guess paradox forgot to implement a check to see who owns syria
A thing I noticed before Hatless.. Why do you never set garrison priority to high? If you don't fill up your garrisons you'll constantly lose more guns as well as manpower because your garrisons are getting killed because there's not enough men and firepower to suppress any unrest. It's very wasteful and can once your country gets bigger with less cored territory as a part of the controlled territory easily lead to hundreds of thousands in losses over less than a year. Especially if you were to use the standard garrison command (Military Garrison or whatever it was called, instead of civil oversight). Edit: Good video otherwise, but it remains a nagging thing
I think most of the time, I'm just more worried about other things. I would prefer the troops or recruitment to get guns first in most instances. You do lose guns and manpower, but unless you own a lot of land, it is fairly minimal. Amd if you own a lot of land, usually you can afford the gun and manpower losses, and likely have a puppet to take Garrison manpower from
It seems like the new DLCs have changed the strategy. Creating factions now requires a national spirit, and Hungary now has a focus tree that doesn't require a certain level of brown party support to flip.
i saw great improve from your video, truely great job !!, do you recruited an editor btw? now content comfort was above 90%, what irritates my eyes just how the software trying to chop border on your cams. overall great job!!
I've tried this 7 times between now and yesterday night. I just can't get it to work, their air just demolishes everything I have, my divisions just don't have the power to push through despite being the same template, i have more of them and they are more equipped. I don't understand why it isn't working. also USSR attacked Finland in 39 instead of May 40 with historical on, so figure that one out
As a challenge you should play the ottomans in redux great war mod hoi4 as empower the Sultan join central powers to defeat entante and winning the great war and making a new Resurgence of ottoman empire that would be fun

@@hatless_spideroh yea the Syrian border stuff bothers me every time i try to do an normal ottoman run lol
minor tip: attack Yemen before Oman, if you do that one decision that cores Yemen, you also core Oman and get a wargoal on them

Interesting. So for certain niches maybe it makes sense with some oversight

Long Live The Ottoman Empire
Ah yes Your Faction Name Here the greatest faction in the world.
It was one of the hardest but also one of the most fun for me. I love the Ottoman empire runs
Going across the bosporus in civil war is hell though
@@CrilTump delete all units and only create 1 cavalry which u will deploy after the beginning of the civil war
glorious mashallah
Great run! My only problem is that world tension is about 4% lower than yours and I cannot form a faction with Romania
Hmm if you can justify then you can manually spike it further to the point where you can then form it
@@hatless_spider unfortunately, it is early and at 37%. Another run is fine! Thanks for the great videos!
@danielbachmann3326 ahhh bummer! Yeah, I've noticed sometimes for whatever reason there can be variances in the overall world tension

"Wats tht brethn on me?"
"Mus b nuthn"
Do you ever plan on making a Bulgaria video? I love their focus tree, but always struggle to get much done with them.
Possibly, but with the new dlc coming, it could be a while!
Great video! Do you ever do mods?
Thanks!
Not usually, although I have done Ragnarok

"To encircle your enemies, to reinforce meme them, and to hear the lamentations of their resistance fighters"

I think the kurds dont like the the last of us series even though they havent seen it.

Not quite, you got beat by a minute by the other commenter 🙃
@@hatless_spider lmao close enough XD RUclips funny, said it was only up for 12 seconds when I got in lmao
Everytime I play as Turkey, I do not bother about Kurds, choose No Garisson and wait till Kurds rebel 😂😂😂
That’s a bad idea because you lose cores.
