We have kids to feed Elke, just want to say thankyou for watching our videos and rest assured that you are not only learning about business and smashing your assignment but also helping to put food on our tables at the same time.
I write a 15 pages long work about Taylorism in the fast food industry and I am more happy that I found your video. 😅 I still was looking for a connectiln between Taylorism and McDonalds and here it is. 😊
I learned a lot about this Frederick Taylor through this video. I will definitely use this is in our post grad class discussion. Of course, I will include this video on my online references. Kudos! :)
Thank you so much for this❤️, it's been days when i started search for a legitimate and clear explanation for this, and i found this, it's really helpful ❤️. Thank you❤️🎉
I had having a hard time understanding this at first, but the more and more I rewatch this vid, I can totally understand them now. LOL thank you so much now I can write a school report on this
I agree with Taylorism in that money is the biggest motivator. Just that companies instead decided not to increase wages for productive workers, only give them more work to do
@@TwoTeachers they're bringing in a thing at my work where you write down how long it takes to do each task and are insisting that it's nothing to do with this but I'm keeping my ears pricked up for the sharpening of the axe. Another big problem I have with Taylor is that this approach means because you see such a small part of the picture, its really hard to make meaningful suggestions to streamline productivity and its so hard to be proud of what I'm doing if I can't see the finished product. What this approach does lay the ground work for is automation
Taylorism definitely led us to a dystopian society where workers are treated as slaves/cogs in systems where the system is more important than anything else. People may be miserable but at least the system's needs are met. thank god our precious systems are treated fairly.
That's a great question, however there isn't a set answer as its all about the organisation and their culture. Some fast-paced business organisations may lean slightly more towards the scientific model but some may also lean towards the human relations model instead. It's what works for them. Sorry we couldn't give you a more direct answer. Hope this helps.
@@TwoTeachers I think it was for the best. Maybe there's a methodology that seems harsh but may allow for better opportunities for both org and employee. Idk. 😅
You changed my mind when explaining the criticisms or "disadvantages". The criticisms - and your list of disadvantages - shows a lack of full understanding of Scientific Management. Your disadvantages list are generalized misconceptions that people have about the respective items on the "Advantages" list. taylor understood and largely avoided the disadvantages you list.
you're cheeky for those ads I'm sitting here trying to finish an assignment for class and I'm having to sit through 100 ads

I'm the only one that doesn't get ads on RUclips 😕@@Serviervorschlag-

I agree with Taylorism in that money is the biggest motivator. Just that companies instead decided not to increase wages for productive workers, only give them more work to do
I definitely agree with you in that wages don't rise anywhere near quick enough and that the best workers always get more to do with no increase 👍

If your business can use machines you are basically rich and have no disadvantages
It certainly is a positive if you can have a business which runs and makes money without you having to work.
