As decent as these came out, I’m very disappointed that a Metroliner cab car wasn’t included, nor was any heritage fleet equipment included. I think that was a big mistake to not include on Reppo’s part. As evidenced by the D78 diner and the Amfleets here, we know he can make rolling stock. We’re beyond overdue for both heritage equipment and a Metroliner cab car.
Finally we get the flying shoebox I remember watching E60MA locomotives roaming the Northeast Corridor when visiting family in New Brunswick my cousin when he lived there at the time his house was right across the street from the tracks nothing but E60 and Aem-7 galore when it comes to amtrak equipment at the time in the 90s
The new Amfleet models are more then satisfactory tbh. The amount of reskins that will be created for them, and the amount of routes they can be used on almost make this pack worth 20 bucks for the cars alone. The old ones were probably one of the ugliest and most dated models we still had to use in this game. Only down side is we don’t have Amfleet IIs so mixed consists won’t be possible or you’ll have to mix the old with the new, which will look 🤮. The E60s are pretty dang good too but without Comet II’s or Comet IB’s you can’t run a prototypical NJT consist with the NJT version. The Amtrak MA’s typically ran with long distance corridor trains that used heritage cars mixed with Amfleet, so without them it will also be somewhat inaccurate. If Reppo did a NJT Comet pack with I’s IB’s and II’s I’d die.
I never thought I'd see the day Reppo made another release, nevemind the E60... and to throw the NJT version in there too?? I've been inside of 958 in Boonton. She's an impressive machine!
🚆I love the Amtrak’s Amfleet passenger cars for Train Simulator Classic! The ones made by Reppo Simulations in my opinion are even much better than the original Amfleet cars that was released from the Northeast Corridor Route in 2009. If you want to edit Amtrak Consists for Train Simulator Classic for your northeast routes, I strongly recommend using the Reppo’s Amfleet cars because these cars are in very much better quality than the old ones. Oh and don’t forget to add the Amfleet Enhancement Pack which they have all liveries for Amtrak’s Amfleet I cars. Maybe I should do videos for Train Simulator Classic in the future!🚆
Is it just me or are the extra vents missing on the new Amcafe? The NJT is basically carless unless you have the U34CH Pack. By the time the Comet IVs entered service the NJT E60s were rotting away in Denville, NJ
working on an enhancement for this. the sounds aren’t very good on both the locomotive and rolling stock in my opinion. the blowers and high speed traction motor sounds are pretty much identical to the acela, so the important sounds should be accurate.
A lot of the sounds are from the E33 the blower motors, brake/air sounds, traction motor sounds alarm all from the E33... like you said the Amfleet cars got more love than the E60. The engines are good, but one thing you missed is look at how the cars couple together the older junkfleet and the new ones in this pack, they have put the hoses connected together and move with curves. I wish they did do a freight version E60 but we don't really have well, we don't have a electric freight American route, but it could have been something for future ideas.
i guess its because little info of this loco was properly preserved and the only surviving examples are non-operational... thats my personal punt, is all.
@@CFRTrainSpotter Some of the models (Aerotrain, the Baldwin Centipede, even the GG1) there's less information about them with sound recordings than the E60. I'm not hating on it just because I am very very happy we have the model in the first place even if they re use sounds that doesn't bother me. I do agree with you point non are operational and as such they can't get sound recordings.
I know what you mean and that you aint hating, personally its a shame that sounds were re-used but you gotta make do with what you have. Now if only the routes and other rolling stock were as accurate as this... im waiting for 1950s/1970s themed NEC kinda like the one in MSTS, and some old stuff like the original Silverliners and an actual AEM-7 thats tolerable.
@@CFRTrainSpotter I'll take you up on that an AEM7 worth talking about. Silverliners.... I don't think that'll happen but I didn't think we'll get the E60.. like some I wanted to see the Metroliners or even a non control cab car I be happy with
Mark that down as another MSTS loco that made it to Train Sim Classic (to date there's the Dash 9, GP38-2, SD40-2, Acela HHP-8, Acela Express, E60, Class 50, Flying Scotsman, Royal Scot, and Pendennis Castle; still missing the Amtrak P40, Gölsdorf 380 and 310 locomotives, and the Japanese locomotives from the 2 Japanese routes).
I wish the Railroad of Museum of Pennsylvania would restore the E60 there. I don’t mean restore it to working order but give it a new coat of paint and make it look factory new. It’s just sitting there outside cooking in the sun.
While it is a nice addon to see, i should point out that i find it weird how the traction motor blowers were turned on before the pantograph was raised... im 90% electric locomotives dont work like that. Also the transformer oil pump has to be turned on because that mineral oil cools down the transformer and if not for it, it could overheat and catch fire. Thats all i gotta say.

Nah i would say the fact they didnt make the comet II for the NJT variant was a missed opportunity
@@metrocityrr I think that in addition was a missed opportunity
@@blackbirdgaming8147 Maybe we’ll get a metroliner if they add the Keystone Corridor
@@dolfyparodies8309 That would be cool!
Agreed
I think the fact that we are getting the E60 means the door is open to a lot of other old NEC things. Maybe the Metroliner is a low bar to hit?
Metroliner could mean Amfleet Cab-Car!
@@falconheavy809 no such thing as an amfleet cab car. Its a metroliner cab car.

I am having issues with the cab signal constantly displaying a restricted to 15 mph even when I have two green signals ahead
Same here. Did you ever figure it out? I'd like to run this thing with all the bells and whistles going.
Will a DLC overwrite sound mods/enhancements that have been downloaded and installed.
Time to repaint them and modify them
Personaly i like the amtrak E60 more since the NJT one has just a mess bellow the window, just dont look right
The red, white and blue coaches look more accurate. Amfleets are 85ft in length and they look more in detail.
Just bought it, other than the toutchy cab alerter, this is a very nice unit
I can't figure that thing out to save my life. Can't get above 15mph without it cut out.
@@wifelikecow I was told to not use the cab signal on most of the routes
Thanks . I just picked it up, it's a monster, beautiful machine. I love it and for once we start cold!!!

The double bell bug is annoying to me…it’s also an issue with the P30CH.
It’s an issue with almost all locomotives with auto bell when honking. Mainly because the bell button doesn’t switch on
wrong horn, but still a pretty good model
All they need now is to come out with a metroliner cab car and we will be satisfied
Agree. They were apparently a pain in the ass mechanically but awesome nonetheless

Never mind. Just found them on his site.
