2004 CRF450R First Ride: FMF Pipe & UNI Filter | GoPro Hero 8 Hypersmooth

Bought a 2004 CRF450R in non-operational condition. Had been stored for 10 years without being started/fuel still in the tank and carburetor. I apologize for my language at the end of the video, I was jacked up on adrenaline from this rocket ship bike, it got the best of me.

What I changed/replaced:
-UNI Filter
-Full carburetor tear down and rebuild with OEM parts
-OEM Spark plug
-Oil & filter change
-Transmission fluid change
-Coolant flush
-Radiator hoses and Y site connectors
-Radiator cap with temperature gauge built in
-Both throttle cables replaced (cracked)
-Bar Grips
-Foam roll on Renthal bars
-Tank fuel filter
-Petcock valve and fuel lines to/from tank
-Front and rear OEM brake pads
- Front and rear brake fluid flush
-Front and rear lubed axles/bearings
-Chain lubed and tensioned (but still slaps, time for a new one)
-Set suspension back to OEM setup
-Set sag appropriate for rider
-Aired up tires and tightened spokes
-Torqued all necessary front end bolts and critical locations as needed
-Printed OEM user manual and put into a 3 ring binder
-Bike parts were also pressure washed and looked over for failure points
All fluids were OEM Honda. Including: Engine oil, transmission oil, coolant, chain lube, and parts.

How did you get the stock header off? I have 04’ too and one of the bolts is behind the frame hard to get to.

Use a long extension and It’ll come right off

I just put a crf450r FCR carb on my SSR 450, and immediately noticed a turbo spooling noise like yours at 4:11 so now Im not so worried LOL. Massive power increase!
