Nice touches on the trailer on the start and very nice livery of A320 AA (2013 livery)
Wow, gotta say Matt your Xplane 11 looks absolutely stunning, seriously stunning.
When you banked left back to land the mountains in the distance looked absolutely amazing, the sky colours look perfect and cast a perfect shade onto the mountain terrain, the whole thing just looks so ultra real.
Good to see you back bud and look forward to part 2.
Cheers from Warrington.
Thanks Matt for the excellent video on what is now my favorite aircraft in any sim.
Hello my friend, I hope to watch my RUclips clips, and thank you
Loving the new vids Matt! It really is good to have you back on RUclips :)
:-)
Agreed
Indeded
I don’t get why people dislike a video that is absolute amazing stuff.. see you in part 2 Matt
XxDanteXx Q Probably just knobheads who dislike because it's not their beloved P3D?
Gary McCormick I though so too. I’m glad we’re on the same page
Matt Davies understandable
I watch this channel because I also use both sims so I don't really care which sim you use. Good to see your channel back alive.
Hi Matt
Great video and well balance review. You always give a very fair review on all the aircraft's and show how to properly find ways to setup and start an aircraft no matter the sim.
This is my first time commenting where I have seen many of your other video and tutorial and just want to say thanks for the work you put into all your videos.
I too like flying out of LAX in X-plane and plan on get the Ultimate A320, although I have the Jar Design version, they are just fun to fly but the Ultimate A320 is just more compete.
Anyways thanks for the video
Bob
good to see this channel back to live, FF is so effective, xplane guys are lucky to have them
Matt there is an add on to remove the default tug from x plane 11. It is called remove default XP11 pushback tugs. Place it in your x plane directory. X plane 11- resources- default scenery- sim objects- apt_vehicles- pushback. Put it in there and there you go!!
Great tip! They have always annoyed me when using 3rd party pushback and they just drive through default ones.
And for Matt about external view it actually started to do that in v11.10 beta. I guess something messed up when they did some magic with aircraft things for better generation of aircraft icons. But I guess it will get fixed before 11.10 release.
And what comes to fuel truck, I think that aircraft has custom dataref for when it is there. So I guess by creating set with Jar Ground Handling and setting data ref there you don't need to see those ugly things again.
13:00 "I'm not gonna give you any ideas" we all know what he was referring to haha.
niels Mallant I'm getting this plane lol! Jk
airbus provided one stick to control the plane thats all that u need haha
john leininger LMAO
Hello my friend, I hope to watch my RUclips clips, and thank you
Excellent video Matt, one of the best simmers on RUclips. Keep posting
Nice vid Matt.
Looking forward to seeing more. Keep up the great work buddy!
I LOVE THESE TITLES SO MUCH
Thanks Mat! I'm so happy that you're back, I really hope that everything is going on the right direction :) Very nice this video, good luck!
Another high quality professional video Matt. Keep up the AMAZING work and content :)
That takeoff was so nice thoroughly enjoyed the video Matt def will be back for the second part :)
glad to have you back in youtube!!
Love it. Can't wait for more like this. I just bought the FSLabs A320 and "tutorial" style commentary as you fly the plane always helps me to fly mine better.
I think it i time for PMDG to take note. And I mean seriously take note. Professional video Matt, as always.
Matt the groudn handling is because it was compeltely changed for 11.10 so you really should be testing this thing in 11.05 which is the last stable release.
One word : magic !
Great video Matt! Let's jope this brings the sim quality of X-Plane up to better standards.
small tip mat u can get a wing view by saving a random view and then changing it s position inside your game files. Catstrator has a tutorial video about that. Nice video.
Great video Matt, this is the first time I've seen a video of the FF 320 where the content creator actually knew what to do (not making me lose my shit shouting 'you have not done this, that's wrong' at my screen). Great video again. Hope to see a great approach and landing as well
The Maps page of the EFB is for Google maps. It will center an icon of where your aircraft is over a satellite image of the world.
The Google API key on the last page of EFB is for a moving map using google maps. You need to set it up just once, it takes literally 2 minutes, it's all described in the manual provided with the plane. Once configured you get a zoomable moving map with your current position.
Great aircraft, thanks for taking the time to share this! Re: city lights, Black Marble was supposed to bring us something as nice in P3D, never tried it though.
The 'A' when starting engines stand for ignition channel A. It's like in Boeing which has Left, Right or Both (on the overhead, selected manually), Airbus uses A, B or AB selected automatically. Typically when the engine start is done using A, the next start is done on B, then back to A and so on :)
The A during the start of the engine is because ignitore A is used to ignite the engine. Engine 2 usually uses ignitore B. Both engines have an A and B system in case one fails ;)
I missed out on the brief time this was available to people who owned three flight factor aircraft. On the store it still says my price is 80 bucks, but it's no longer for sale. I actually want to cry. :(
Great video though Matt. Definitely looking forward to this thing being released.
Just for info for your next flight, start engine 2 first. The alternate braking system (and the parking brake) runs off the yellow hydraulics in the 320/321 family. The yellow system is powered by engine 2.
Actually that is not always true, it depends on the MSN # of the aircraft, Airbus changed that at a point in time. Also that is not really SOP in the states.. It is usually alternating start 1 or 2 depending on which was started first last. Between the Blue Elec Pump and the PTU you can have most all systems powered with either engine running, albeit with a barking dog. Parking brake is also considered a backup and not a reliable stopping method in most cases, especially with neither engine running as it depends on residual pressure in the reservoir which usually bleeds off over the course of a few hours (i.e. why chocks are needed).
That A is just telling you which igniter is starting the engine, either A or B are in both engines so if one fails there is a backup
Thanks Matt, Amazing video as always!!
Awesome Video Matt. Keep Up The Great Work.
Matt Davies we need to see your P3D again man. It was good chatting to you when you was helping out Aspie. On his live stream I was so glad that I could even talk to you man. Your channel is still going strong and even growing!
Great Vid Matt. Remember American Received the left over A320 From Us Airways/America West which included Some 320's with CFM and some out west with the IAE config.
Awesome vid my dude! You chose both of my favorite airports! DFW is my home!
There are two ignitions, A and B. So during the engine start, A stands for Ignition A and not AUTO
Nice video Matt its great to see you do x plane 11 videos.
Hey Matt:
Excellent video as always, keep up the amazing work.
A nifty tip, which works on the MCDU in rl, but I’m not 100% on P3D/XP MCDUs... when stringing together airways on your flight plan, it is not necessary to put the “via” point when transitioning from one airway to another.
For example, if you simply type in an airway, then continue down to the next airway in the box below, the transition waypoint *should* automatically appear. Again, I stress *should*, because it does IRL... just a nifty tip to speed up the flight planning inputs... many folks I fly with type in the transitions manually just for the sake of verifying 100% that the routing will not be incorrect. 👍👍
To use your flight as an example of what i mean: In theory, you should be able to input J74, then type J231 in the box below, and NABOB should automatically appear in the “TO” field... same with typing J74 again below that, and SJN should appear automatically, etc. etc. etc.
At about 27:31 you were talking about the A near the bleed valve indicator (or whatever name it has). I think it's the ignition A and it switches between A and B on every start.
Been flying it for a couple days...the autopilot is very smooth. It autolands well on CAT3 approaches. The setup from cold/dark isn't bad if you're used to Airbuses. The only downside is the sound package - could have been more complex and rich than it is for the price. Overall, 9/10.
if you wonder what was the sound at 35:35 , it's flight mode change from NAV to HDG , basically any change in the FMA done to AP you hear that clicking sound, anyway cool video see in the part 2
Btw, about quick movements in Xplane when in "C" view mode, keeping Ctrl pressed generally slows it down.
For wingview you can edit A320_cockpit.obj and remove the line "ATTR_solid_camera". Now you can move the camera everywhere without limitations :)
For restarting the Gate, You have to go to Plugin manager and Turn Off and again to ON the AutoGate plugin.
the A on the engine page stands for igniter A in Use . Sometimes there´s a B
How did you downloaded the aircraft? I paid and downloaded the a320 and I dont know what to do
As a software developer, I know that the Google Maps API key is a key you have to register (and now, pay for) to be able to embed Google Maps inside your apps. The guys that developed the plane probably didn't want to, so they ask you to buy and input your own key.
nice graphics u have in xplane 11 i think its amzing and the best one i seen in long time
I was sure you would comeback to your old style you are a real aviation enthusiast , man that’s what you love that’s what we love, it would be cool to get some flight review in depth too :) Leo it up
somehow I wanted to quit p3d and start on xplane 11. so much performance and no vas or CTD problems . :(
also started to get bored of upgrading ans wasting so much money . thx matt . happy to see u again.
Bought jd a230 one week ago! Don't get me wrong I love it but I think FF is on another level!
Great video! To your question why the MCDU doesn't self-populate the V1 for you - it's because FF seem to have modelled a software version where this is the case. The FSL for instance has a different software version that gives you the V1.
I checked my emails from that cockpit tablet while flying it! This is the coolest addon I have ever tried!😂
This looks amazing!
Love seeing your xplane vid since I moved over to it
Thanks Matt for empahsising the factual pluses and minuses. It's a bit odd looking at something that, from the P3D world I'm in, looks like 2013 in the VC and 2021 on the exterior model. The fact that FBW is working well is a nice tip of the cap to the developers. And the outside view is ridiculously good.
Matt, great video. Don't entertain the haters by giving them excuses and other air time. Keep producing the quality content you always do. Best wishes,
Matt, this mornings video is longer available to comment on your condition you mentioned, nither will I mention here but just to let you know I suffered the same, stop medication and try this for few days and see if it helps. Sea salt the coucumber and eat it before going to bed or salted pumpkin seeds.
Yes, he's back!!!!!!!!
Great video. I have it and agree with you that sounds are underwhelming. Also I do not like the clickspots and way of controlling knobs on MCP. Other than that it is great and flies well. The weather radar is coming after some bug fixes. Looking forward to part 2. The Aerosoft DFW by Omar Mansor is one of my favorite airports in XP11.
Splendid vid.
I have seen a few people turn on Airbus engine 1 first. Is this a preference or the real requirement?
Glad i am not the only one, wanting to do what you were thinking about that browser lol
Great video Matt! Be sure to give feedback to the devs!!!
Would be so nice if PMDG made 737NGX for XP11. Heard some positive rumours tho..
nah i dont feel we need it. I mean, there's allready the awesome IXEG 737-300 (i know, not NG but close, +its my fav. version of the 737's) and the zibo 737-800 which, yes its not pmdg but its advanced enough for 90% of simmers and its free.
No need for pmdg, ixeg way more nicer than the ng, the sounds alone are breathtaking
It's Sooo Much better now
Hiii Guys, do you think the Flight Factor A350 is worth buying? Are they still working on it?
The first Airbus with built in pornhub inflight entertainment :D
OMG YES MATE
Hello my friend, I hope to watch my RUclips clips, and thank you
I'm expecting a greaser just like in your stream ;) Great departure!
When the jetway goes away when u release the parking brake by accident i just go to plugins -> plugin admin -> and reload autogate and the gate comes back.
Matt for the wing view you have to change some gamesettings to disable the limits or use Xcamera which automatically removes limits!
I think he was using the default camera
The external camera distance problem is related to 11.10 beta. Not the FlightFactor.
I miss your videos Matt!!!!!!!
If they don't change it, you can export flight plan from pfpx with airbus extended format
And when you start the engine on the sarter page the A is not for auto, it's for igniter A or B, normally they switch at each starting. For example when you start the engine, this is the igniter A or B in use but when you start the engine 2 normally it's not the same.
YOUR BACK!!! YAY
love the vids matt have done for some time GG
the lights in x-plane will actually go further out ... until the horizon ... austin mentioned and will come soon
You cant change it from Ibs to kg but you can have a Ryanair livery. Yup, exactly what I looking for! haha
I sometimes get motion sickness if you cycle through the views very quickly like left then right wing views then back to the cockpit so quickly. Cool videos though keep them coming. Better pushback looks great, you can make it realistic because at LAX they push you up the ally to Charlie.
nice video bro.. do you know when is it coming out to the public?
It's weird that the aircraft in your video had CFM56 engines. I looked up the registration of this aircraft and it is supposed to have IAE V2500 engines. Is the IAE model not simulated?? It would be really surprising because this software is very advanced and realistic.
Very balanced review.. Thank you..
hi Matt, I'd like to know if you have any new on the lights script that you mentioned. Beautiful video anyway, as always
forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/files/file/27759-enhanced-lights/
Very impressive step up for the XP platform! I quite like this aircraft. A little rough around the edges, but nonetheless. However, I think I will stick with P3DV4 and the FSLABS, despite this one being visually superior.
Update: lol no fsl can go fuck themselves
Nice Matt !
34:45 So the JarDesign didn't do a good job on the fly by wire system in the 320/330?
Internet on board? I’m buying this shit! Watching videos and flying!!
Yay DFW my home town😜
Nice plane, but the sound at taking off.. a320 from aerosoft is even better
Hold control whilst moving around
And then when they fix the light rendering distance... even better :D
I thought the RYR livery looked great haha. great vid again meatt
Matt****
X camera plugin allows outside view no problem
fun fact: you does not need to step on the brakes when gear is coming up(at least the real one will brake the wheels when gear in transition
but overall,nice vdo
So good!!!
I'm thinking about buying Xplane11, but i have some questions
First: Can i use this A320 on the steam version?
Second: How much would that be? ( pref. in €)
Third: Ist this a good plane to start with?
I have some knowlege of sim flight ( played DCS some time ago) but this looks way more relaxing. at least no su-25 will hunt u for a solide 30min an try to kill u ;D
Hi ... I've been waiting on this bird for a while. Where can one buy it?
Hi Matt I've been wondering if you could give me some tips on add-ons for fsx steam edition. I already have the aerosoft a320/321. Would should I get next? Thanks
Why don't you use projectFLY for the flight planner?
