Cheers Pete often in the Co-op so this is useful. Good selection there.

Must admit, I've got two Co-ops within 1/2 mile so I visit regularly. However, I've given up buying wine from them as I've been very disappointed every single time. I haven't had any of these so I'll try one or two but I'm not expecting much. From extensive experience I tend to think of Co-op as the poorest of all the big stores for wine.

Co-op can be very hit and miss. However I've been very pleased with their Andrew Peace Shiraz lately. Very robust with red meat. Thanks for another excellent review Pete

Well, tried the Cotes de Rhone last night & it was ok but I wouldn't buy it again. At £6.50 it's fine but I've been having the Cotes du Rhone Villages from M&S which is £8 per bottle & really, it's way nicer than the Co-op one in my opinion. I'll try the Cava Brut & I'll be interested to compare it with Aldi as they have a few very decent types of Fizz.

I recently tasted two fab Cotes du Rhone - first from Morrisons in their The Best Range £9 and the second was Majestic's Chosen by Majestic Cotes du Rhone Villages £8.99 (mix 6 price) well worth looking out if that's your thing.

@@drinkersite Cheers, I'll give the Morrisons one a go. I did buy a lot of The Best Range wines last christmas and I tend to agree with a popular view that Morrisons use that tag on way too much & frankly, some of my buys were fine but many were not "The Best." Generally speaking, the more experience I get from all of the supermarkets, the more I gravitate to M&S as my safe bet. Still, "one man's poison" as they say.
