- "Atlantis and the Gods of Antiquity" was recorded by Manly P. Hall on December 6th, 1981. In this lecture, the myth and possible location of the Atlantis mystery is explored, in a new way: seeing Atlantis as part of a larger empire instead of a single island. Hall suggests that before its final destruction, groups of Atlanteans were distributed around the world, and may be part of the story behind the Egyptian and other civilizations.
Most interesting is the psychological aspect - that Atlantis is a metaphor for our submerged personalty, and, that the myth serves as a warning in that if our gifts, powers, talents and technologies in selfish or destructive ways - we too will ultimately be destroyed.

His speeches/lectures are just incredible. More people should know about this man. With all the garbage on RUclips, I'm thankful for channels such as this. The knowledge that Manly P Hall possessed was just astounding. Listening to him is an experience, not just intellectual conversation. I'm glad to have discovered him and his works. This world could use more people like Hall. I enjoy listening to his lectures very much. The older recordings such as this have a sort of elegance to them that you don't get with more modern recordings. The fact that you can actually HEAR the age of this makes it even better to me.
I,myself, have just recently found these lectures and audio books of Mr Hall's on RUclips. I have always had a great interest in our history and have been searching since my teenage years for knowledge beyond what is abundantly available mainstream. Mainly searching for the meaning of life and trying to figure out what our purpose is in this life. Manly P. Hall is helping me fulfill that ambition.

I came to believe that Atlan was an ancient name for the elevated Master we now know as The Lord Babaji , and that later in Greece he was known as Atlas. This Master is still on Earth now. In Yogananda's book 'Autobiography of a yogi' Yogananda describes his meeting with Babaji.

Possibly, the pyramids were created to understand the atmosphere, how the atmosphere evolves in relation to true north and the tilts of all the planets, and then finally what direction to travel for the best area of life on the planet.

Apparently this story is full of holes. It has some truths, but archeology, geology and historical truths today point to a slightly more truthful approach.
Manly Hall often spoke about the "Dark Curtain of History" - that there is so much that we don't know and are unable to see about the past.

Plenty of scientific evidence if you do some digging. Figure that the sea levels were 400-500 feet lower at that time than today (Black Sea salinity levels prove this). Also, portions of the Mid-Atlantic ridge were above water. Other circumstantial evidence like cultural connections between the Canary Islands, Basque, Aztecs, Egypt and North African Caucasian Berbers. Loads of evidence, just do some digging.

The Old Testament is abundant with examples of this truth. The people start out as a "free" society. Eventually, opting to have a leader to lead them instead of the elohim. Which always ends up being governed by a tyrant or madman. Until one is raised up and frees them from their oppression.
