    If I don't have enough magnesium, I throw off ventricular ectopic beats (VE's). Been a problem most of my adult life. I know if my blood sugars get higher than they should be (I have type 2 diabetes), such as when I stray from my keto diet, I deplete my magnesium stores and start throwing off VE's. So I've got so many good reasons to stay keto for life. I have put my fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome into remission with keto, brought my BSL's under control, and lost 32kg so far. What is funny is that I am very low in magnesium. I take 2000 mg a day ansd am still low and I am diabetic but I have always been able to keep my A1C in the high 6 to low 7 with out meds.
    Back mast year my A1C went up to a 10 and my dr wanted me to take metformin and even though I had it feeled I didnt take it but I noticed how more I was aching in my legs arms and basically all over so I uped my magnesium and on my next blood work my A1C went down to an 8 or and 8.5 but I was still aching all over amd it felt like the pain I would get when my magnesium was low so I started taking anywhere from 3000 to 4500 mg a day of magnesium and you would think I wouldnt be able to get off the pot but it didnt phase me.
    I also started taking fish oil and my next blood work showed not only my A1C was down to a 6.4 but my triglycerides went from over 500 down to 111 my cholesterol went down from close to 300 to 200. I asked the dr if she was sure if it was my blood work.
    She said well you are taking the metforeman and I said no I'm not and that I have never taken it. So when I asked her what would have made it drop so much along with the other stuff, she just looked at the computer screen and never said a word even though when I asked her if the magnesium and or fish oil have helped everything drop
    I'm glad I seen this video because now I know what it was that helped, exactly what my gut said it was.
    Yes it is hard to believe that magnesium does that much for your body.
    I'm back down to 2000 mg a day but I think I will try to go back to 3000 mg as long as I dont live on the pot. Thank you for this info and God bless.💞

    • @rogerschwarzinger7491
      @rogerschwarzinger7491 5 лет назад +2

      Yo B Clark in order to fix your T2 assuming it means type 2 diabetes, than the first thing you should do is start a Ketogenic Diet, meaning reducing your carb intake a lot, once you start the Ketogenic Diet make sure you do have a good amount of protein like 3-6 Oz per meal so you won't have hypoglycemia symptoms when you lower your carb and sugar intake, what protein will do is activate the hormone known as Glucagon and this will probably fix your problem with that,( I got this from a Dr.Berg video), also make sure you are eating your vegetables Dr.Berg recommends 7-10 cups of vegetables per day, and I know that might sound like a lot of work and a lot of veggies, and it is, so if you can't do that much, anything is better than nothing, so maybe 4-5 cups of vegetables or 2-3, basically as many as you can do, once you are on this Ketogenic Diet maybe for like 3 weeks, than you start incorporating Intermittent Fasting into your lifestyle, by doing 2 meals a day instead of 3 or you could even switch off some days, because you are doing Keto, make sure you get a little bit of high quality salt to keep your electrolytes up, like Celtic Salt and/or Pink Himalayan Salt, I personally don't know too much about Celtic Salt, but have heard it in videos, and I personally use Pink Himalayan Salt, because it's a good quality, I have heard you need a tablespoon a day, don't quote me on that though, what I do sometimes is shake a little bit of Pink Himalayan Salt into a cup of water and mix it with a spoon to dissolve the salt into the water, and then I drink it, I might do that once a day, also don't forget to drink water on Keto and in general, just don't golf down so much water to the point where your urine is clear, because according to Dr.Berg that means you are peeing out your electrolytes and thus making your heart weaker, and he says your pee should be a straw yellow, I am not even sure what that means, I am assuming it means a light yellow color or a light yellow straw color from a colored straw at a restaurant or something, also if you are on medications, and of course on insulin, than you need to of course talk to your doctor about the plan I just gave you and work with him on this plan while he measures out how much medication and insulin you need as your improve T2D, because once you start improving it than you will be needing less of that stuff, because T2D is a problem with the liver, T1D is a problem with the Pancreas, and T3D is a non official name presumably for Alzheimer's disease, because there is Insulin Resistance in the brain, T2D is a reversible disease that occurs over time as we age, and basically the worse your insulin resistance, you could develop it later in life, all of this information is a plan I have created based on information I have taken from Dr.Berg and Dr.Jason Fung, and have just putting it into a plan. I think this plan could really help you and even reverse your diabetes despite what doctors say that you can't reverse, because you can, but it could come back if you are not careful and get back on an unhealthy eating plan, but it is reversible, but of course advise your doctor first before starting this, I don't want to be responsible for something bad that might happen to you even though I don't think any of that would happen, just to be sure, like I said I would do this, you can also look up on RUclips MANY people have started the Ketogenic Diet and have reversed their T2D and have improved other chronic diseases and have improved their cholesterol and heart function. Oh and also one last thing, the best vegetables on a Ketogenic Diet are Cabbage, Asparagus, Bok Choy, Spinach, Kale, Broccoli, Salad, also make sure you are getting in enough fat, moderate amount of protein, and low carbs and sugars of course! I hope this helps you out a lot man! You've got this you can beat T2D and punch it in the face, just like I tell some of my tests in school 😂 you don't bully me, I bully you and punch you in the face, you don't punch ME in the face! lol

I did my first 72 hours fast with just black coffee and green tea from Thursday night at 7pm and finished Sunday night at 7pm. My blood sugar was at 3.8 on Sunday around 6pm (do a lot of speed walking) so I decided to just stick with 3 days. I get around 50 - 60 carbs (almost all from fiber and veggies) a day and fast every other day from 7pm - 2pm the next day when I don't work out. On days that I do workout, I have breakfast and last meal at 3pm then fast until next day. I will do 2 day fasts once a month now I think. I also do resistance training 5 times a week and security (11k steps a day most days).

    My temp doc took my off of lasix for swelling. I told him it wasn't helping and actually caused my sugar to spike and bp to rise. I noticed this when I usually had lies blood pressure and sugars. Around 60-90 was norm for me. I was a more active and could walk 20 miles ca day. Had perfect chemistry. Started taking that Crap...through everything out of whack. It's taking fasting to recover my health! Thinking of going bank to the gym now!

    A lot of people have a hard time absorbing any minerals due to low stomach acid. People taking antacids are only making it worse. In this case use foot soaks and magnesium oil or magnesium flakes in a warm bath. Your body will absorb what you need IF you are indeed deficient. Doing it this way you won't have to deal with gas and bloating that magnesium can cause in some people regardless of type. If you have low stomach acid you can take your magnesium with Betaine HCL/Pepsin and see if that helps.

    Chromium is important too-
    Regards magnesium - I had left foot drop and unable to walk on my heel or even lift that foot-my shoe is worn but when I've upped the magnesium I can support my whole body weight on the effected heel- nothing truly scientific about that until you consider I'd have a few bits of lettuce or cucumber maybe some peas as vegetable once a week in the past.
    My BP is normal (was 145-90) before had readings of 114-77 recently - it not all down to that though as I've really cleaned up the diet- after years of eating rubbish absolute rubbish foods drinks etc. When I stopped magnesium twice in the past its returned .

    Too bad there was no mention of the best form, & delivery method of supplementation for those highly deficient, and/or unable to metabolize certain forms. Or, of the role Iron plays, in the metabolism of Mag. Or, of proper testing for Mag. levels, & why serum levels aren't always the best indicator.
    Such a vital mineral.

    • @jhingur7169
      @jhingur7169 5 лет назад

      If you are "highly" deficient then internet is not the best way to talk about delivery methods. Only after getting tested, you can be advised about the solution. For general non-deficient folks, daily application of a simple magnesium chloride solution is effective. For severely affected, an IV or injection is needed.
      And then there are tons of supplements with magnesium in different forms.

      You might do a search of Dr. Berg's videos re: Crohn's Disease. He has spoken about it. Jordan Rubin was on the verge of death when he finally found help. He has written a book about his experience in great detail. He also authored "The Maker's Diet". You may wish to check him out. I've read both of them. Excellent info. I pray that you heal your body of this horrid disease. It's such a shame that so many doctors just don't have a clue about good nutrition!! Clean, nutritious food is #1.

Unfortunately, he listened to his Dr. He ended up with a colostomy bag before the end. As with most of the physical problems that we have, our choice of food is the culprit for our ills. I do hope that you check out Jordan Rubin. May your efforts to heal be mightily blessed!
