Himmel scolded Frieren for blasting Aura's minions to pieces because he wanted to defeat them without desecrating their corpses, since Aura was controlling them with her magic and they were innocent and had died fighting her. So this time around, Frieren opted to use magic that cancelled Aura's own magic instead of blowing them up and blasting them with gigantic magic lasers. That's why when Aura says she shouldn't bother doing that because Himmel was dead anyway and wouldn't scold her this time if she went on a rampage, she replies that Aura's words reminded her that Aura doesn't get it and is a monster and she can kill Aura without mercy. Frieren is doing what Himmel would've wanted because she's honoring his memory and the memory of the dead soldiers, and Aura as a demon is unable to see that and thinks she's doing it because she doesn't want to be scolded again and it's just a self-interest thing.

Also this implies that at any time, Frieren could have blasted the lot of them to pieces as the minimal effort option.

They do feel pain, you can see her body twitch in pain when Lugner presses her wound, but magic seems to work around emotions as well, and Fern was already quite disconnected to feelings, and Frieren may had taught her to control her emotions as much as she can so her mana is not disrupted.
And iirc, Healing magic is exclusive to the Divine Arts which only selected ones are able to wield since it's a blessing from the gods.

28:10 “I’m leaning toward he (Stark) has never had battle experience except for the dragon.” Yes, that’s right. If you can recall in episode 5, Frieren asks Stark what his experience is with fighting monsters, and he wails “Zero!” Also, I think I a manga reader explained that the incident where Eisen punched Stark all started because Stark didn’t want to fight a monster that Eisen was telling him to.

Lugner and Linie are my fav demons so far. I find their decorum more "humanlike" I guess? and their pridefulness also branches over into respect it feels. Like, Linie refuses to finish off Stark and even answers his questions. Lugner starts to wonder how Frieren trained Fern and acts differently than before.
