      @@CBGarage Well... Those batteries aren't as dangerous as LiPos, for example... So the risk is low. But the battery would last MUCH longer if they used the BMS, so... Yeah. 😕

    why not just buy a bigger battery pack? Or spend thousands in tools and a 3-D printer I guess? Cool video though

    It is not efficient, the batteries must be INR type.

    I literally just did this to 4 batteries this weekend. But I keep the old cells and just add 5 I've salvaged from other tool packs.

      My understanding is that mixing old and new batteries can cause the old batteries to overheat. Read into it more and make sure you're happy with your setup.

      @@joshuacollins385 matching cells for internal resistance and capacity is key. You can't just add any old cell, they have to be tested and validated first.

      @@cristianomessi4202 robi różnicę. Łączy się najpierw szeregi a po to by nie powodować strat przy łączeniu szeregowym sekcji. Święta zasada; najpierw szeregi, później równolegle. Szeregi w pewnych przypadkach należy podwajać a równolegle nie bo przy łączeniu równoległym działa jedynie prąd wyrównawczy. Pozdrawiam

    You cant build a 18v battery pack if the power tool is 12v. You cant build a 2,6 A battery pack if the charger is 1,5 A.

      Yes you can build a battery with higher capacity as long as the voltage is the same... Charger will take longer to charge but it will charge the battery.

    So a 5Ah battery, i also have made 6 new battery's for electric tools, 2x Worx and 4x Makita, i used new Molicel INR18650-P26A 2600mAh - 35A cells.
