She explains how the Democrat Party wants American Samoa to become a state, and they assume it will become a Blue state, a Democrat party dominated state. She learns over the course of her own news segment that the people of the American Samoa do NOT want to become an American state. As that means a lot of things that they then must adopt. They could not have ethnic or racial based rules on land ownership. Right now people of the tribes of the Samoa control their island lands and if they become a state like Hawaii, then capitalism and free market would rule. Then anyone, including foreign investors from places like China could come in and buy up the land.
