I like using Samplab as a auto multisampled instrument creator. I load a sample and select the the little keyboard symbol in Samplab so I can play the sample in my daw piano roll. Then I add my own midi and randomize the velocity. It isn’t always magical but sometime I find so crazy cool sounds.
Samplab's free mode is very functional, which I think should have been mentioned. free 15 minutes of audio analysis per month is a steal if you're only occasionally sampling or remixing other artists. Also I should point out that for users of other step separation tools, the MIDI transcription of Samplab (even free version) really complements your existing tools well. I've done remixes where I extract the parts with a stem tool I already have (Rip X), then use Samplab to transcribe the melody in places where I'm not sure what the key and melody are. I then take the adjusted MIDI that I make, throw a new synth part. Throw the acapella on top, then bam! Pretty painless remixing.
The free version is cool, only the limition of mono is something which I think isnt as handy for a lot of stem extracting applications. RipX should be able to all you want already, or do you find that samplab does the audio to midi better?
@@audiotoolshed I have RipX Remix, so I was using Samplab as the budget-friendly (free) midi transcription tool since I don't have the higher end RipX version.
Pretty interesting, but only subscription model dont work for me. Free version is only mono and up tp 10sec of audio, which does not work as well. Unfortunately.
Yup, I would love to see a more “mid tier” where you get stereo and longer files, but not subscription based. Maybe paid for a x-number of times you use it or something.
But this is how they remixed Bad Boy, So So Def songs in the 90s in-studio and now we have access to that technology. I've skipped to the mid of this vid, and I truly assume White Noise rearranged Queens' "Another One Bites The Dust"?
I have to come over and slap you silly for guessing another one bites the dust. Its ''Good Times'' a.k.a the bassline which got ripped off by ''rappers delight'' ^^
This is a dream for easy interpolation of famous songs. Yes, I know that seems like cheating but what the doco on You Tube 'Everything Is A Remix'. And you'll see it's been happening since the classical era. Mozart had his work interpolated by Beethoven (Or other way around).

Thanks for the in depth review! We'll include your feedback in the next update and we're working on some more documentation.
Our pleasure!
Do you have plans for an iOS release? I know a lot of people who’d be really excited for an AuV3 release, including me

O that's a nice trick! Thanks for sharing :-)

@@atomicafro Ah, that makes sense yeah. I usually use cubase for audio to midi, but cubase doesnt do polyphonic.

@@audiotoolshed It would be an honour to be accosted by you, mate.
No need to share your fetishes here m8 ;-)
@@audiotoolshed you're stupid, man. Hahahahaa LoL ;-)
How would you compare this to Audio Modern Loopmix?
Well it fully depends on whether you need stems extraction. If not, Loopmix wins easily for me.

what do you mean by "no audio editor" and "no stems separator" ... why "no" when it actually does exactly that?
Say it out loud and it makes sense ^^

Wait are you saying music existed before the Beatles?
@@audiotoolshed 😄Well, only the rudimentary basics...
hit stick on tree right ^^
seria bueno hacer una comparativa contra MOISES, RIPX etc
Its in the planning, but dont know when yet. RIPX coming soon.
Samplab needs to make a DAW.
By now they’re not far of with their plugins ;-)
Interesting.
I already own Melodyne.
hmmm looks like a copy of RipX...and I own that one so no need for another clone^^
I'll take a deepdive in ripx soon ;-)
@@audiotoolshed cool
gah subscription... instant dislike of the product...but i still gave you a like. :).
Did you subscribe to my channel? ;-) yeah I get it. Subscription models get overdone way too much these days.
@@audiotoolshed of course. i have been subscribed for ages now. haha.
You’re the best! It’s weird: YT sometimes shows when someone is subscribed and often not.
$9.99 per month. No thanks!
