This is such a great unit. I’m a guitar player turned music producer and I adore experimental, soundscape delays like this one. Now @NEOLD just has to make a masterbuss eq and I can use their plugins to mix almost exclusively.
NEOLD do such wonderfully understated but glorious plugins. They just invite you to explore and create a 'mood'. I really didn't expect much from a delay but it's a wonderful coloubox of shades and variations. A beautiful thing for sure! 19 USD is a pretty good deal too, as I have all their stuff!
8:20 vocals in this example.. "Project - love" Would it be relesed publicly? What is the song name? Could you tell please? I like the melody, really interested in hearing full song.
I'm still undecided what to make of the user interface, but what immediately struck me was that everything you set up in the plugin sounded fantastic. Reimund Dratwa simply has the hang of it.
Old Timer? I built a bucket brigade delay when the chips first turned up in the early nineties. Didn’t have to use knobs from a fifties ferrograph and dials from a prewar oscillator though.
hey, on longer delay trails.. more feedback.. when a new hit hits the delay algo, it just cuts the old tail off like "bye"? and doesn't feed that back into the delay? Sounds so weird when using high feedback and its just cutting up everything that was already ongoing when a new sound hits the delay algo
This plugin makes no sense to me, looks like some 1950's retro gear, but only offers typical 1990's Love Parade Techno sounds, which nobody seriously needs in 2024. At least I personally can well live without these plastic toy tones. But of course tastes are different....
speaking the truth. i‘m under the impression that Neold is desperately trying to become a new innovative player, but despite the hipstery front plates and the storytelling, their products are not overwhelming.
Hey Marlon, thanks so much for the great videos. Super interesting sounds which you got out of our latest stunt... very nice indeed!
It sounds so sweet!
NEOLD doesn't make a single bad product. One of the best devs under the PA umbrella, especially for analog stuff.
agreed - everything just sounds great and interesting....

I love this delay!
Great video, Marlon! Love that GUI. Putting some automation on that Topology knob will really be fun.
GREAT review! Thank you - going to get this

@@MPHORROCKS Where did you get it for $19? Is it Plugin Alliance? Because I got all the Neold stuff as well from PA. But it wasn’t $19.
@@Robeazy1000 Yes. when I signed in, it said $19.99 'upgrade coupon'.
Reimund Dratwa, head coder of NEOLD, is such a talented guy.
Great video man!
Very good! Thank you!
Just Fantastic
beautifull explication

What a great review and an interesting plugin.
I particularly liked the use on drums early on.
It's $20 to upgrade but do I really need another delay!
Very cool
❤how you go deep Marlon! The filters sound amazing...☕
I own all the other Neold' s so I could pick this up for 20,- today. So if you own all of m then go get this one.
Hi, just bought this and can't find any presets... are they presets ? thanks. ed
Topology c'est super pour faire des automations...je vais essayer ça
A oui il y a de super automation a faire avec les filtre et feedback
Hey Audio Toolshed, thanks for this great video - fascinating! The sound on a guitar reminds me a little of Pink Floyd.
Probably that bucket brigade delay sound, right?
@@audiotoolshed Yes, this delay sound is fantastic!
reminds of the H-Delay, though with less features and a giant front plate.

oh nice... yes))))
I love Neold products, but I wonder how they got away with using the PSP “Oldtimer” name. 🤔
NEOLD is awesome! 🥳👌
Appart from that, I really need these modulators in studio one, too!! But Presonus still refuses... 😭
Those modulators in cubase have been such a good addition. Also long overdue.
Reaper can modulate anything you want.
After playing with his new toy, Bro. Marlon won't be leaving the "AUDIO TOOL SHED" anytime Soon, Y'ALL!!🤔😲🥴🤪😱💀🤭🤭👍👍👌👌
My private little digital mancave.
@@audiotoolshed AWESOME 👌
Seems like a nice delay.
Ummm....so what do the "erase" and "glitch" buttons sound like? Kinda missed talking about that altogether huh?!
Erase deletes the buffer and glitch is a sudden 'wow' effect. The whole thing is gorgeous.
I also didn’t mention the looks, the bypass button or output level. Not missed. Choices.
sounds like a delay...

May be good, but horrible UI.....
