Great video, I got 2005 Toyota Highlander and 1 price (windshield) was 257.00 and another was 217.00. I have a call coming from the cheaper one to set up a time. I'm glad I saw this. Should I go with the 257.00 if they say they will prime spots and glue the bottom. I'll ask with the other cheaper place but my guess they will not do it correctly some how to make up for the low cost. Respond if you can. You do good work and that's what I'm looking for.
At what basis do you come up with a price? What percentage do you add when a customer calls you about Wind. replacement? Do you take all the info of the car, and tell them you'll call you back or you know giving them a rough estimates?
Right on. Mom and pop businesses care about the quality. After 30 years of installing, I’m semi retired. I do auto glass pretty cheap now... for friends and relatives. lol 😂
Not every body that works at safelite is 100 % pro they get a training but is basic knowledge only skill and motivated guys will be successful buy is hard to get the best installer
When I comes to stuff like this a window is actually part of the structure and safety of the car. I’d open my wallet little more it’s worth the money to pay more to get a better quality of materials and work.
This video is bull CRAP!!! you are just trying to get more money from people! I had a "pro" come out to replace my windshield and wanted to charge me 140$!!! My mechanic did it for 85$ and I haven't had ANY issues at all!!!!!
When you get in a car crash and you see your $85 windshield flying out you'll see the difference!!! $85 for windshield LOL Time to get rid of your Pinto.
@@KTM22Ride Wind shield installers are just like the lock smiths, their always trying to RIP OFF customers and get as much money as they can!!!!! a new wind shield should never cost more then a 100$!!!!!!!!! Next time ill just go to the scrap yard to get a new wind shield and I will do it myself. any idiot can put in a wind shield!!!!!!
Carlos wasn't taught to be respectful or grateful for valuable info. Nobody cares that you paid $85 for a windshield on your crappy 1970's Ford pickup. The rest of us live in the real world. Yeah you can go to the auto wrecking yard and get the glass for $40, but that's not practical for everybody. And I'll be damned if I'd trust my mechanic to install it when his job is to work on engines, transmissions, suspensions and brakes. I'll leave glass replacement to the specialists.

Most the time it only takes an hour sometimes two hours not really long most cars an hour
