    seeing the original trilogy (minus thunderdome) before furiosa is disappointing. Movies with practical affects will always be better than safe CGI

    • @BAMTubeMovies
      @BAMTubeMovies  3 месяца назад

      Unfortunately Furiosa did appear to use a fair bit more CGI than Fury Road. It was still pretty practical effects heavy from what I could tell, but some of the green screen/CG wasn’t the best.

      They very much so feel like their own thing anyway! After watching them all, it’s kinda like 1-3 are their own thing and then Fury Road/Furiosa is on their own

    I do agree that thunderdome should go at the bottom but you didn't have to rip into it so hard, I really enjoyed the whole thing it's honestly one of the most quotable besides fury rode

    • @BAMTubeMovies

      All just opinion-based of course! It has its fans and I think that’s great! Just wasn’t for me. It has its positives, I liked the first little bit, it was fun but it really fell off for me after that. It was brought to my attention by another commenter how Max saving this kids acts perfectly as a closing to his arc which was a great point! But it was just all over the place imo, and then comparing it to the other 4 just made me feel more negatively towards it!

    saw furiosa on saturday and i was really dissapointed, perhaps my expetations were just too high after fury road. while taylor joy was ok, hemsworth still has not convinced me that he can act, but that is just me

    • @BAMTubeMovies
      @BAMTubeMovies  3 месяца назад

      Fair enough, not gonna be for everyone and that’s perfectly okay. I really liked Hemsworth’s unhinged take, was goofy and over the top which I thought fit really well. Taylor-Joy was pretty good too imo but not enough people are talking about the young Furiosa, she played the character for almost every bit as long as Anya did!

    I'd take any of Mel Gibsons Mad Max movies over the overrated Fury Road which just becomes boring after a while.

    • @BAMTubeMovies
      @BAMTubeMovies  3 месяца назад +1

      Interesting take, I respect it! Can’t say the same for me, I love Fury Road. The only Gibson one I can say I honestly liked was The Road Warrior. First one is good but a bit dull imo and I didn’t care for Thunderdome at all really

  • @Strugen.
    @Strugen. 3 месяца назад

    The first movie isn't ppst apocalypse, it's the world degenerating before it. Road Warrior isn't post apocalypse either, there was war but not nuclear. Thunderdome is post apocalypse. Fury Road and this new one looks to colourful and over saturated and the vehicles look unrealistic and to advanced and polihed for a world that has supposed to have gone to hell. Mel Gibson is Max Rockatansky..Tom Hardy spent the majority of Fury Road looking confused and not understanding the character of Max.

    • @BAMTubeMovies
      @BAMTubeMovies  3 месяца назад +1

      Fair enough, it’s all pretty post-apocalyptic-y regardless. The original less so for sure, but it’s not like the world as it was. I adore Fury Road and Furiosa. Is it like a “realistic” post-apocalyptic world? No. But it’s not trying to be either I don’t think. It’s trying to be Mad Max, as George Miller intended it. Mel gives A LOT more as Max yes, but honestly not a ton imo haha. Hardy was just using what he was given to work with.

    • @Strugen.
      @Strugen. 3 месяца назад

      @@BAMTubeMovies All good mate people prefer different things, I just prefer the more realistic looking original trilogy and Max's arc of losing a child and eventually helping a bunch of children find some salvation. Apparently Hardy apologized to Miller after Fury Road because he didn't really understand what was going on

    • @BAMTubeMovies
      @BAMTubeMovies  3 месяца назад +1

      @@Strugen. for sure, everyone’s got their tastes! I think the original and Road Warrior work pretty perfectly together. Didn’t love Beyond Thunderdome as a whole but I really liked the ending. You bring up a really good point tho! About Max’s arc in the original 3. I actually didn’t know that either about Hardy/Miller. I think they could’ve worked some magic together with a sequel, but we’ll likely never see that.

    • @warsincs

      The Apocalypse doesn't have to be nuclear, MM2 pretty much shows you society has broke down.
