hey John I can appreciate how much work goes in to this caldercraft kit. i completed the calder vic 10 yrs ago. took me 18 months of dedicated time after i had retired. getting the hull and masts done is a milestone.but then comes the rigging, that's another story, lol
England expects you to be the last builder of this John 😂😂. When I saw the title 1\72 thought I was going to see a little Airfix plane size 😂😂very nice model . Camera 📷 does look better quality 👍👍.
British Shipbuilding skills at its best once more …only in miniature! Not so minute in 1/72 scale though John … love what you are doing with this kit … your slightly smaller one that you are building from the plans is mind blowing .. but this one is fantastic too … thank you for the update … yes no point in rigging guns that will never be seen! Look forward to seeing you progress her once the replacement deck & missing parts arrive ..
@@Johnbuildsiconic No doubt about it! She already looks so majestic and formidable! As Lord Nelson said - the British ships at war are the best negotiators!
New camera definitely provides a quality picture John!
Thank you for the feedback my friend

👍👍👍👍👍👍
John, what kind of paint do you use to paint the Victory and what do you use for a thinner for the air brush?
Hi I use the full range of paints from admiralty paints from caldercraft, and all my wooden ships are mostly hand painted
👍👍👍👍👍
How many hours aprox does it take to build this model?
hard to say, but around 3000 hours over maybe 10 years if you work full time
are the quarter galleries positioned correctly ? the look badly inclined.
No the angle of the quarter galleries is correct, must be the camera angles
Marvellous! If Lord Nelson sees it from Heaven, I believe he'll order his bosun to give you an extra tot of rum!
I hope he will think I’m doing my duty

Good in 4K ... but really necessary .... Meh!
Why are the 'captain quarters' at such a funny angle???
Hi someone else asked this question, I think it’s the camera position , that’s making the quarters angle look off
